Full Version: Did NASA Land on the Moon?

One of the most popular conspiracy theories of recent times has been the "Moon Hoax" theory, which alleges that NASA faked the Apollo moon landings from 1968 to 1972.
Many books, documentaries and websites have been devoted to this subject and a small industry has evolved around the alleged conspiracy.

So what do you think?

Fake or reality.

We did go to the moon. We brought back rocks and set up equipment.

I think I will debunk some of the conspiracy theorist claims before anyone posts them.

1. How can a flag blow back and forth on the moon?

Every time it does that an astronaught is holding on to the poll and moving it around. That is just the cloth flapping back and forth because of inertia. This is proven by the fact that the flag does not flap when it is stationary and an astronaught walks by it.

2. Why are there no stars in the photos?

It is daylight on the moon, therefore no stars. Easy one.

3. There is a rock that has the letter C on it.

This is just a hair that got caught in the negative when NASA was making prints of the photos. In the original NASA photo the C was not there.

4. The shadows suggest a second light source.

The moon is being illuminated by both the sun and the Earth, this causes the shadows to appear a bit odd.

5. There is no blast crater.

The ship came in very, very slow before it landed and actually did disturb a very small layer of dust, it is just not that visible.

Those are just some of the claims, but all I can remember at this time. This should be an interesting debate, although I think the 'we did land on the moon' crowd out ways the conspiracy theorists.

Abandoned Spaceships

7.11.2005

A NASA spacecraft will get clear pictures of Apollo relics on the Moon.

In 2008 NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter will carry a powerful modern camera into low orbit over the Moon's surface. Its primary mission is not to photograph old Apollo landing sites, but it will photograph them, many times, providing the first recognizable images of Apollo relics since 1972.

No one knows what else LROC might find. The Moon has never been surveyed in such detail before. Surely new things await; old abandoned spaceships are just the beginning.

If we haven't landed on the moon, that would be have to be a conspiracy so huge that it would fall apart eventually. Wait, how many times was a man on the moon, again....? Only strange thing about it is a question why haven't the Soviets landed there first, becouse the USA was so much behind them in space travel. When I think of it, Soviets never went to the moon. Why?? W. Allen belts?

There's already a HUGE thread on this discussion... http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...showtopic=43524

Does it need another? huh.gif

Of course NASA went to the moon. The whole thing about it being a cover up is ridiculous.
