Simple solution: become a vampire. Then you could make them the undead too... and they will be your companions .... for ever.

Till a slayer gets a hold of a stake and gives you some "heart burn".
To be immortal... would be a unbearable life sentence no matter who you are. To watch the times go by in a blink of your eye and it would have all mattered nothing to your very soul... nothing to give you the simple pleasures as to stop and smell the air after it rains or lay on your back and watch the lightning dance across the sky... I'd rather treasure my time as mortal and take pleasures in the all the things I can with the time given.

Of course not! As wonderful as this life is, it is limited. We enjoy this life because we have a limited time to explore and learn and grow. Aeon after aeon passes by yet I remain. All that is new and exciting becoming old and stagnant while I continue living. Watching loved ones grow old while I remain.
No thanks.

To me i believe the soul is already immortal i'd rather be in spirit than stuck immortal earthbound. Besides there is beauty in growing old and death is something that i would like to experience someday just to experience it and to go home.

Hmmm. Tough question. Prolly not. You have to think, FOREVER! The earth won't last forever. Everything, EVERYTHING goes in cycles. Life is a cycle, everything is a cycle. For all we know, the universe could collapse and restart or something. But anyways, life would get so boring, it would be crazy... I mean, once the Earth is gone, what are you going to do then? Float in outer space? In the freezing cold, maybe get sucked into the sun, and sit in the middle of the sun until it explodes? Well, humans will be gone LONG before the Earth, but you would still be here. I don't think I would want to live forever. I used to, but when I grew up, and actually started thinking about it, there would be no way. If you die, and there is no afterlife, tough luck. You won't know, you will be dead...

I would pop the pill as soon as it were offered. Think of all the different things you could see, do and learn. I imagine an imortal would be quite wise.

Does this pill cover death through injuries and harm????
If so, I'd say yes, I'd be 21 years old and become a vigilante, rooting out all the evil in the world, safe in the knowledge that I couldn't be killed.
In my spare time I'd be a stuntman.

It wouldn't be a pill.

I would like it if everyone could be also and Jesus came back and there was peace and love only always with no evil. But wait!! That is what heaven in the after life is like. So yeah, I want it, when I die and with my loved ones and such.
One of my favorite movies is Interview with a Vampire and I find the movie fascinating, but to go thru all that pain and seeing others die and feeling that pain that you will never see them till you die which could be never till the end of world-then I don't think I'd want immortal life while being human on earth. It would be too painful.

So even if your body was decomposing off of your bones while you are alive to experience it all, you would still want this? Try adding eternal youth on to that immortality, I works much better.

I personally say if you leave behind something that carrys on who and what you are then you are immortal wether it be children friends, a legacy of your own good works or bad it doesn't matter the world won't forget you

I would take the pill. I remember one time I was sitting on the subway staring at the lights going by. I'm a sponge when it comes to new knowledge and I felt very depressed as I watched the world go by. I was depressed because I knew I would never learn all that is around me in my small life span. I would never know what the farthest galaxy looked like. I would never know the surface of the moon. I would never know the inside of a car that drove by. I would never know how many berries were on a bush 2km away. I would never know how many dead bugs littered the inside of the light that was flashing by me in the tunnel. That last one really depressed me for some reason.
I guess it would depend on what state I was in when you gave me that pill. The loss of love ones would sting but then through time you would be able to love more people in your long life span. Is it not better to have loved than not to have loved at all? A rather large concern is if the universe did turn out to have a finite life span. In this case I would be trapped in an endless void begging for another big bang.
*note* the bug thing was odd I know.... I was in a odd mood at the time....

Only if I was given the power to kill myself at any time . I dont want to be immortal , but I have always wished that I could live to be 400 instead of 70~90 .
