There was a show I watched awhile ago, perhaps 2 years ago on MTV. The just was they took a family that did not beleive in ghosts, and paid them to stay at a haunted locations, and had them do a number of different activities in the house. They would pay the family if they could get through the whole night doing there activities.

The episode I watched, they had a family which consisted of Mother, Father, Older Son, Older and I believe and Aunt and Uncle, and brought them to a castle. The castle had been used by Christian Monks who became Satanic and started sacrificing people from the Village to Satan. Finally once the Templar Knights found out about there wrong doings, the castle was raided and all the monks were killed for their heresy.

Anyway, they had the people go through the castle, and use different equipment to detect ghosts, and had some bizarre readings. They went down into the dungeons, into the torture chambers, and into the hidden passages that led into the monks quarters. After spending about 2 hours going through the Castle and being familar with it, the hard tasks began. They had individual family members having to go around the house and check the certain sites for ghosts. The mother and father went together, and the daughter and son went to some other locations. They completed those tasks but failed the next one. The daughter had to go through the monks chambers, through the secret tunnels, through the torture chamber and jail cells, and then back. She ended up getting to the secret tunnels and broke down and started crying cause she was too scared.

However, the show was good, but I don't really uphold the idea of bringing in some family into a castle of satanic worship and sacrifice and letting them wander around as a game show. Must of been a frightening experience, and could cause some mental trauma. However, if anyone could remember the name of this show, I would love to know what it is.

Sounds like "Fear" which also aired on Saturday evenings on YTV in Ontario, Canada. What never made sense to me was that there were cameras throughout the entire location so obviously the areas had been checked for safety issues etc....This was a pretty good show though. I actually remember seeing this episode also.

This is the second thread to start about the show Fear. I did enjoy it, when it was on tv. It's been cancelled and if you want to have a better quailty of video then I suggest you go around the internet sites like eBay and bid or buy the DVD's. But they where right it's Fear.

I just enjoyed it because it's not a stupid reality show like real world or road rules. It was the only thing on MTV that was worth watching and then they took it off the air. I thought the raiting were good guesss not....

I liked that show too. It was really cool. But wasnt there another one where it was like a team and they had to stay in haunted places...maybe it was the same show but a spinoff. I remember where a girl got electrocuted and she freaked out. It was great! lol

What part didnt you understand?? I wasnt trying to be mean...the electricity coming through was really really low. It was just enough to show her what went on in the room and so she could feel like a shock for a minute or so. It wasnt even that much electricity.

Alrighty then, I have straightened myself out....The show with the team of family members who went to "haunted" locations was "Scariest Places on Earth," no one was allowed to quit a mission unless EVERYONE quit.On "Fear", the contestants won money, they were usually college students, and both are no longer running. Too bad,,,good shows!

Yea, I think Scariest Places on Earth was it then, I kinda remembering them making a bit of money though. I will look into this.

HaHa is exactly right. I was going to mention this, but was beat to it. Both shows were very cool indeed. Miss them like crazy.

you all ruined my day.
Every time I look on the preview channel, I check sci fi to see if any of those old "scary places" shows would come on..
I mean jeez, cant they bring it back for us? Just have a channel drop the airing of "friends" for crying out loud, and we could all be happy =0p
