ya know, I have been reading about werewolves recently, and here in the USA, it sounds more like that the werewolves relate more the to sasquatches here in the USA, it is weird, when i was about 7 I saw a " BIGFOOT" it frightened me, i am not against ridicule, because most people dont believe me when i tell them my story, but i feel werewolves and bigfoots have a lot in common. have you ever thought they maybe the same creature, far as we are concerned the damn creature that bothers us is a monster, and far as i am concerned, bigfoot, werewolf, they are almost identical in the stories that i have read, i would love some input on this subject, thanks. one more thing, the creature that killed my animals on my property and my neighbors farm, was BRUTAL, and terrifying.

one more thing ever read about la Bête Anthropophage du Gévaudan/ The Beast of Gévaudan and Other "Maulers/, it sound so much similar to the bigfoot stories, here in america, please reply, i want to find out as much as possible.

I know a little about the beast of gevaudan, personally, I don't think bigfoot and werewolves have anything to do with each other, I believe in bigfoot as its certainly biologically possible for another North American ape (other than humans) to exist, and following the theory of evolution, they "should" be here somewhere, as a precursor to man, one might think, or possibly a similar but not ancestral relative, like Neanderthal. Werewolves, on the other hand, I am hard pressed to think of anything I am more critical of, simply because of the fact that it is biologically impossible for that kind of creature to exist, its a little more plausible if one looks at the case of werewolves in the following manner: Perhaps a werewolf is only a large, bipedal canid instead of a shapeshifter, either way, I don't find it too likely.

Hopefully, Bigfoot and Werewolves will never be closely associated, except maybe in a wonderfully B grade horror/sci-fi movie.......
I can see it now...

P.S. maybe this should be in cryptids section

Your Hypothesis, was really, good, but the only reason why i said the two were alike was cuz of the red fur, but i tell ya maybe they mistaked it for the same creature just a thought thought

Does this mean you need a silver bullet to kill a sasquatch?

Welcome to um, I am not sure what this has to do with Ancient history, But no i do not think they are even close to the same animal. This post would have fit better in the Cyrpt thread with the other werewolf threads, but anyway. A werewolf is a man that can shift shape into a creature of great evil. I BF is a animal more like a ape, and does not turn into a man when the moon goes in. grin2.gif

As far as I know there aren't many eyewitness accounts of werewolfs in their shapeshifting phase, if any, so he has a point there. It just wouldn't be a "were"wolf then, but simply Bigfoot, or a humanoid wolf-like beast.

Alright, so I'm curious. Can you tell us about your own experience with whatever it was, and what leads you to believe it's what killed your livestock?
itshowudoit
ok, i am back today, Well, by american Indian legend, they say the sasquatch has mystic powers such as to appear and reappear, and they also have red glowing eyes unlike many nocturnal animals, and there have been reports that sasquatches have killed people same as a werewolf. As with the disappearing act they claim to say they have, then maybe why is it that they have been on the trail with it so many times and then just lost it. I feel this world has so MANY unexplained phenomena about it, we cant all have the answers, but i feel that the werewolf and bigfoot, have lots in common, especially, if legend was true about after being bitten by a werewolf, why havent there been people who transformed into one and why hasnt one been caught such as why hasnt bigfoot been caught, maybe they have the ability to appear and disappear. Ya never know. anything is possible. just some more thoughts. and in this world, i feel the best mind to have is an imaginative one. Closed minds lead to no where.

ok to the one who wanted to know about my experience. I was asleep on a pallet in the floor while my mom and i stayed up one night watching tv. i woke up around 2 and you know everyone has to look towards the window, well i did, and then the hair on my whole body stood up, i saw the outline of a GIGANTIC figure on my front deck, no neighbors for miles around, we lived WAY out into the forest. Well, I was so scared i layed down on the floor and did not move,my father is 6'5 and this thing looked like it was 8 to 9 ft tall. well a couple days later i saw this huge thing walking in a pasture behind our house. My mom said one night while i was asleep she heard this terrible screaming noise outside. I played some recorded bigfoot sounds for her i found off the net and only one was really what she heard but she said that is what she heard. I also played a panther and mountain lion screams none matched her description besides the bigfoot screams. Well, We went out into the pasture to go fishing and there was a cow with its insides just torn out, no claw marks or nothing. it was weid, and it seemed so fresh, and all my ducks i has their heads were either broken or ripped off, they werent eatin at all. it is kinda weird. I had seen panthers out there but i know of those animals to eat the prey they kill and not leave it for dead. but anywho, the area this all took place in was north east texas, cass county, and also if you look up miller county arkansas which is only 30 miles north they have had well over 30+ sighting in the past twenty years.

Oh when I saw the title of this thread I thought it was a celebrity death match kind of thing. People placing wagers and what not. Clearly not what's going on here. Oh well no one reads this anymore anyway.

The biggest thing they have in common is that they don't exist.

And please don't bring up year old topics, because many of the people don't come here anymore and it is useless trying to start it up again. thumbsup.gif

where are you from, and where did you see this creature my friend?i am not making fun of you or anything, and i will not do that.but are you sure you actually saw this?sleep deprevation, and certain medications, and even foods can produce hallucinations.befor you saw this thing had you been up for a long period of time?has anybody ever slipped you a drug, and you did'nt know it?somebody slipped me a hit of acid 1 time,i never took ever willingly, and i had a few flashbacks in the years following the date i was dosed.i think werewolves are fictionious ploys, but there is plenty of evidence to prove sasquatch's exsistence.i say that because if it is not real,it's been a 2000 year old pratical joke from everyplace in the world covering generation upon generation.good luck finding out what you saw!

to be honest im not sure if werewolfs exist but what you say does make sense kinda, it could solve the mystery of why the bigfoots dont like dogs that much, if they are the same the dogs bark may sound similar to a noise they make, they come out to investigate and find a dog, they get angry just about kill or literally kill the dog and go off wherever they go

they may exsist, but i do'nt they exsist in the form they do in the movies.it seems to me that it would be physically impossible for a human,to expand like those werewolves do!maybe they are really werewolves that are in a permanent state like bigfoot is thought to be,and we are really seeing werewolves, not sasquatches!there is no telling what's really out there,we have messed up the environment so much, there is no telling all the effects pollution has had with respect to the genetic pool on rarely seen animals or unknown animals??

I'd say the wherewolf can overpower the sasquatch.

I defintely believe in werewolves, Simply because of all the legends and accounts can't be all crap because there is some definitely strange crap in this world and i don't rule them out at all. Plus i live in the midwest where their have been sightings in certain counties in illinois.

LMAO... that was great.

...But I believe in Bigfeet. Of all the odd creatures that people think are lurking out there, this ones the most likely to exist. It actually could be smart enough to purposely hide from people, looks like it could be part of a normal filum, etc... And everyone and there mom's seen one. ...I mean, I haven't... my mom hasn't either that I know of... But lots of people have. I'm all for it.
