This is a nice little survey to see how many of what we have here at UM
Mr Ed
I don't quite see why this is in this forum.
747400
Might be better put in Spirituality & Scepticism, mayhap?
jenk
I'm agnostic but I said atheist because its close enough....
FLY SPITTA
Christian, but why is this is this part of the forum?
Mr Ed
Maybe someone made a boo-boo.
iac_tracker
no offense but i don't believe this should be on here I don't see the point.
BurnSide
Moved topic to a more appropriate section.
Everyone, instead of pointing out it's in the wrong place, which is useless, report that the topic is in the wrong place, and then it would be moved right away. thumbsup.gif
_Nyx_
I believe in nothing but am always open to suggestions.... happy.gif
Nadal
Then you be a Atheist, m'lady. Anyways, It said I couldn't post it in spritualisim or sceptisim.
FLY SPITTA
To be honest this poll really does suprise me.
Guardsman Bass
I am an atheist humanist, meaning that I do not believe in a God, Gods, or the supernatural (although I am open to experimental proof), and that I believe that morality comes from humans, not God.
__Kratos__
So, since I'm other I have to explain? Blah... kind of unfair to the rest of the religions that think they are all that and a bag of chips, but don't have to explain their reasonings to putting their faith in those. disgust.gif

I believe my own little thing and that's it. I'm not going to fire up some great huge debate over my thoughts because frankly I don't care if some person on the net disagrees with my faith. happy.gif
SnakeProphet
Same as Kratos.
Neither atheist, nor follower of any existing religion.
TooFarGone
I chose other.........

I was born and raised Christian, and some parts of it I believe, such as the morals presented by it.

But, on the other hand, I don't believe in alot of it.

Why no Deist! I know of about 7 that frequent this forum! Discrimination! You will hear from my lawyer! LOL - the Wolf tongue.gif
EmpressV
I voted other because I'm not atheist but I'm not christian either. I have found that I'm not deist either. I am not certain which catagory I fit in. I don't worship gods/goddesses or men. I do believe in the metaphysical to a certain extent and the universal human energy that is within all of us.

I voted "other" and I feel the need to repeat Kratos said:

Heru
Mostly Kemetic.
Nadal
I guess im not atheist..I have beliefs..but I label myself Atheist because I don't believe in any excisting religions to my knowledge.
The Raven
I am other. I do not follow any religion, but I never deny possibility, so in that sense I am agnostic. I am much more "spiritual" than religious, because I can't stand these huge organized religions and the lies that come with them. Philosophy, Science, and getting to understand the world is much more interesting then being a pawn.

That doesn't mean I don't love learning about all religions and soaking up as much knowledge as possible.

An ATHEIST is a total NON-believer, an AGNOSTIC believes in SOMETHING......they ARE NOT "close enough"! angry.gif
JMPD1
I voted "other". See my post in the Spirituality vs Scepticism forum on the thread "Let's end the confusion of who's what...".
747400
Pagan, which isn't neccessarily the same as Wiccan .... or satanist rolleyes.gif ....
Paranoid Android
Christian.

As in CHRIST-ian - follower of Christ. Not Christian as in an organization or a building or a set of rules to follow

Regards, PA
Nadal
Well, I only put down the beliefs and spiritual groups I could think off my head...if I didn't list one i'm sorry.

Er . . . not quite right. The agnostic takes the position that it makes no difference whether there is a God or not. That if there is a God, said God does not get involved in human affairs. no.gif

Goodness sakes,

ag·nos·tic Audio pronunciation of "Agnostic" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (g-nstk)
n.

1.
1. One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
2. One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.
2. One who is doubtful or noncommittal about something.

Sometimes I do wish Aslan would come back.

An Agnostic is: Somebody who believes there could be a God, but they're essentially still waiting for confirmation of it as a fact.

I believe in a power that is cannot be defined as the Christian God. I believe that this power has a purpose for all that is but I do not accept the Christian dogmas that try to explain it. I do not accept the idea that I must conform to Christian traditions in order to have eternal rewards. In all, it is simply that I have my personal, private relationship with that power and it is sufficient to me.
Gothic_Vamppy
I Break For BUDDAH ho yeah
Nadal

I am a pantheist above all.

And a bit of (which are by and large pantheistic, in their true form)

Gnosticism, Hinduism,Buddhasim, Confuscionism, Hemermeticism, Paganism, Shamanism, Druidism,Catharsism, etc. !!!!!
lmbeharry
Roman Catholic by upbringing and socialization, Deist by Intellect, Buddhist/Quantum Mechanist by inclination, Laissez Faire Objectivist (Ayn Rand) by socio/economic philosophy, and secular humanist/humanitarian by choice!
It is possible that I and the Unitarian Church share similar views, but I don't like groups so I never bothered to venture into a Unitarian venue...
Serpentine
I put down other.

If I had put down another choice I would have be mistaken.

And you would be mistaken too.

On the whole it might have been better not to answer at all but all things considered I'm not that churlish. cool.gif
