People are always seeing faces in inanimate objects.
We see them in clouds, in smoke, in random patterns on walls and floors.
The technical term is "PAREIDOLIA".
The reason behind it is pretty clear: as humans, we have evolved to recognize familiar faces. We see our mothers mere seconds after being born. We know by sight friends, family, enemies. We read a lot into faces, and our brain is hardwired to fit faces to patterns.
It takes remarkably little information to see a face; think of those "Have a Nice Day" buttons that only have two dots and a crescent,

yet we see a smiling face in them. Amazing.
Natural, not paranormal at all, but amazing nonetheless.

So is this a total explanation?? I dont say its not an explanation, but is it the ONLY?! Well,if nothin else this sure is sceptical..

It is human nature to see what we know, Sense the face is something we react very strongly too, It is understand able we see it in objects.

Moreover, there's a strong argument that that phenomenon accounts for EVP. In a random pattern, we seek to find order, visually or audibly.
Nevertheless, random patterns don't spook animals, move objects, cause mysterious stenches, or any number of other classic "signs" of paranormal activity.

Spook animals--Remember their smell and hearing is making your look nonexistent.
Stenches--Bad plumming,gas,mold,farts(blame a ghost)
Move objects--Draft,electric and magnetic fields.

Yeah, that's what I said earlier tonight. It's one of the most important inborn psychological instincts human beings have: The ability to recognize our own kind and therefore humanize everything around us. Ever notice how the front ends of cars can resemble smiling faces and such. It's that instinct in spades. The whole Virgin Mary water stain thing has gotten so old it just makes me want to punch the wall or scream out the window.

It was a dead uncle, two seperate people saw him. And we didn't know he was dead until later.
Debunking is fine, but claiming it to be the be all and end all of everything and a solution to the lot. Well that is a diferent thing all together.

I don't know quite how to take that, but I'm sure you wouldn't be insulting me.
I would be quite offended that you would even assume I was drinking. Perhaps you're running out of skeptical arguements? I suppose next you'll be telling me I'm just after attention. Pfft! I have nothing to proove here.
Now as I said, there is debunking and there is rudeness which is something alltogether different.

You are completely correct but, I am going to nitpick one line because I'm bored. You don't see much on anything when you are born excepts blurs. A newborns vision is blurry for sometime after birth. This doesn't make you point any less valid. Just some trivial info.

I personally haven't met anyone that sees ghosts as faces, or even close to that lol. Most ive seen is a few shadows when i was a kid, or heard a few foot steps behind me, nothing that i can jump out of my chair and say wow ghosts exist. Not until i get proof i can't really say weather they do or don't exist.
Then there are people who say they talk to ghosts, and they use Evp etc, which i have a hard time beliving its all real. Most Evp could just as easily be the person talking into it lightly, cause in most cases you hear clear voices talking to eachother and it seems like a joke.
I am still unsure about ghosts, but i still have an open mind to beliving in them, since my brother himself has told me of several times where he sees shadows when hes going to bed late at night of complete figures that he says basically wave their arms around, i still don't know what to belive he is 25 and he generally doesn't lie, but damn lol i dunno.

Pictures of "faces", like the one from Mars,or in smoke from 911 WTC,are more likely to look like a face than reality is.
People say that pictures don`t lie,they do not,but a picture is merely a 2D interpretation of a 3D world.
And the translation of that picture is in the eye of the beholder.

Exactly, naturally your mind trys to make faces out of nothing. In example the "Demon" in the September 11th attacks, faces in trees. And of course all of the jesus incidents.

That's true, it explains a lot of supposed ghost phot's , but not all of them.
For instance it doesn't cover the crisis apparition I mentioned earlier.
