I would have to vote for Werewolf that is if they existed. And not because I fancy werewolves. I like bigfoot almost as much. Not all werewolf lore says that a man has to change during the full moon.

Some myths say a man can turn into a wolf creature by applying a Salve, or wolf type pelts. (Think the nordic beserkers who wore bearskins and received the spirit of the bear into them. Bearserkers they were called and then their name was shortened etc.)

Other indigenous peoples have transformation stories of man turning to beast though they are usually beneficial in nature. (Exceptions can be made for the Ojibwa and other northern/canadian Indian myths concerning Wendigo. Yes I know separate creature all together)

As far as size ratio goes, there are true to life stories of full grown men/women being killed by pitbulls and as a whole we are bigger then they are. Yet bite per square inch and pure ferocity of the pitbull favors the dog in an out and out fight unless you have time to react and shoot/stab the dog or someone is there to help you out.

Pure Strength would favor the bigfoot, but the werewolf in it's full man/wolf form and full of rabid justice of doom I think would be a close match if it was in a full rage. If the bigfoot were to wear down the werewolf, or had time to pick up a weapon then I imagine he would have a chance.

But who says that a werewolf (according to the movies they are a bunch of sneaky bastards who like to ambush their prey) would just saunter up to a bigfoot and give some really cool Morphias kung fu hand wiggle to bring it on. He wouldn't I don't think.

Scenario:

Bigfoot- walks through forest, eating, resting, drinking being general peaceful in his habitat. The wind shifts, he catches the scent of a wolf or wolves. Knowing that a single or even pack of wolves wouldn't attack him he isn't to terribly alarmed so he goes about his business and decides to move on.

Werewolf- hoofing through the forest, he's pissed about something. Maybe he was cursed by a gypsy, or his human mamma didn't hug him enough. Anyway he catches the scent of a possible victim. Being filled with all sorts of anger, and angst he tracks the creature and watches it. Wait did it notice him in the wind shift? Nope doesn't look like it, the creature doesn't seem alarmed. Sneaky, sneaky, charge. "Yarooooooooooooo!" Chomp. First bite followed by much clawing and shaking of mandibles of doom.


The Winner:

Werewolf- gets claws raised in victory and then eats the Ref.

It was I who originally said that maybe do to lack of Space, Werewolves and the Bigfoots might be seen more, possibly in combat. But no one seems to remember it.
I see it as this.
Werewolf: Fast, tall, blood thirsty, large teeth, claws.
Bigfoot: Large, fast, strong, can use enviroment to advangtage, smart, also can use projectiles.
This is how the match would go. Bigfoot is trudging through the woods, where he comes apon a deer body. He slowly squawts down, and tears a few remains from the carcas. His sense of smell is now basicly useless, as the smell of wrotting meat fills his nostrils. Only until he hears a hellish like snarl will he stand. The were wolf would wait, studying this intruder. Bigfoot desides to take his meal with him, so he grabs the deer's remains, and lumbers of. Bigfoot isn't known to fight on the spot, so he doesn't want to get in one. The werewolf slowly stalks him. On all fours, Bigfoot can't tell there is another monster near by. As bigfoot reaches a lake side, sits down, and starts eating. The werewolf grunts, and circles the lake. At the right moment, he burst from the bushes. Bigfoot, seeing the werewolf on all fours, thinks it's another ordinary wolf, so he stands, ready to intiminate it. He lets out his own hellish bellow, and beats at his chest. The werewolf would then stop in it's tracks. He thought that this creature was human, it certainly smelt like one. The werewolf backs off a bit, seeing Big Foot's jaws, muscular figure, and glowing eyes. But the werewolf, blood thirsty and ruthless will start the charge again. Bigfoot, seeing that this 'wolf' was bold, would grab a near by rooted treestump, tearing it out of the ground. He would lift it over his head, and howler. This would be another surprise for the werewolf, who is mere meters away from the ape man. Big foot would keep the stump over his head, then fling it at the wolf. The werewolf would rear onto it's hind legs, and slash at the stump, making it shatter.
Bigfoot is now not the tallest creature in the woods. The only thing that rivaled him where the bears. But even they had sense to leave him be. Bigfoot hooted and screamed, like an ape would, slamming the ground with his fist. The werewolf would keep charging, but only a few feet away, would bigfoot grab it's snarling muzzle and fling the wolf man over his shoulder, and then pounce on it, slaming his large fist into the side of the wolf. The werewolf shocked by this apes strength, would lash out with it's claws, slashing Bigfoots face. Bigfoot would leap backwards, holding his face, blood seeping through his fingers. This only enraged bigfoot, as he grabbed the werewolf's tail, lifting it off the ground, flinging it into a tree. The tree snapping in half do to the force. Bigfoot would beat it's chest, taunting this new creature.
The werewolf would leap from the mangles of twigs, bark, leaves, wood, and branches, and with an agility, bite down on Bigfoot's arm. Bigfoot would scream in pain, bashing and punching at the wolf. A red stain appearing on his brown orange fur. Bigfoot would then retailiate with his own hellish bite, biting the werewolf's ear, clean off. Bigfoot would chew the ear, with an evil grin only he could pull off. He'd swallow it slowly, licking his ape like lips. The werewolf, who recoiled from the bite, got on it's hind legs again, and slashed at Bigfoot, opening four large, red gaping cuts along his chest. Bigfoot would back up, looking as if he was giving up, but charge at the wolf, using his weight to topple them both over, into the lake. When big foot resurfaces, as does the werewolf, taking there fight to the water. Bigfoot and the werewolf deliver blow after blow. No other animals in the area dares to venture towards this fight. The battle feild would be dead silent with out the hellish noises. Bigfoot would be smashing the werewolf's head while the werewolf was trying to tear off his limb. Bigfoot would punch at the werewolf's side, grabbing a tuff of fur, lifting it over his head, and throwing him into a rock, a sickening thud would emit from the impact. Bigfoot, who was angered intenstly by this wolf, would pick up another rock, and smash it repeatedly at it's head. Bigfoot, happy with his kill, would carry the carcuss home. But what if there where more?
By the way. Werewolves show no sign of regeneration. So they can't regenerate. It's just a different one that attacks the second time. Bigfoot and Werewolf are evenly matched. If the true winner kills the other, they'd die due to exhustion...

Its hard to say on who would win this in the fantasy battle. I say they both will lose as soon they touch other lol.
I don’t understand why people think the sasquatch is so scary with big scary teeth n all ,and kills ppl. Has Sasquatch has ever harmed anyone? Of course Mary Shelly’s werewolf is thought up and meant to be scary and kill. Bigfoot was only been heard and not sighted. So I have to vote. I vote for the sasquatch bec he/she will kill it with intelligence or just walk away.

No sorry thats not how the original story goes, the French Gevaudan is the original and only werewolf story ever. The werewolf got his limbs chopped off, probably couple hunderd bullet impacts, etc etc. But he came back everytime. The only thing that killed it was a blessed silver bullet which was fired by some hunter.

CrazyHarry; A finely written battle, but entirely implausible. Nothing living could endure such punishment as that werewolf, especially without regeneration. Even with regeneration it would be a close call.

Some people said that the werewolf had the advantage of human intelligence, but in a fight the intelligence of the average Joe would be useless. A martial artist could put the body to good use in a fight, but not you average Joe. Only if the werewolf set up traps in advance using his "superior" intelligence would be a factor. I would think that a werewolf would hunt a sasquatch using stalking tactics, and would possibly attack from above using a tree. Even without a tree, it's just a matter of surprising the sasquatch, as it only takes a split-second to slice open the throat of an upright being, especially if it is unable to guard properly (surprise tends to do that).

In an open fight, with the element of surprise lost, a werewolf would probably lose the fight. Unless ofcourse the werewolf managed to injure the sasquatch in an initial attack, but let's say it didn't. The sasquatch now has the advantage of being able to counter any attack from the werewolf, and the added advantage of being able to use it's environment as a weapon to a greater degree. It could pick up a larger piece of wood and swing it easier than the werewolf, and put considerable force behind it. Or it could chuck a large stone at the werewolf.

Simply put, even with the questionable nature of the existence of both of these creatures, who would win the fight is a big collection of 'if's.

The werewolf might be very capable of biting through the skin of the sasquatch, if it could get a good grip. It probably has quite strong jaw muscles and long, nice, sharp teeth with which to penetrate thick skin. It all depends on if it can get enough of a grip to tighten the grip even further.

yeahhhh that could happen. i guess it depends on the height too. what if the sasquatch was like 12 feet tall. he could easily crush a werewolf with a quick movement of his hands...or even rip out its teeth like candy

Unlikely, but possible. Twelve feet seems a bit excessive though.

I'll admit that the grip thing is flawed, mostly because there is nothing stopping the sasquatch from bashing the werewolf's brain in with a rock or something equally fitting.

yeah 12 feet is a bit too high but still..i say a sasquatch could win...unless the werewolf had really REALLY sharp teeth.

A werewolf that has killed a lot of martial artist and memorized there techniques can easily take down a sasquacth in an open plain. But then again it depends on skilled sasquatch is. I can beat down some balvs so i could probably beat a sasquatch if i dont get hit.

Now we have to think that if the werewolf can get by the smell!

That's very unlikely. If a werewolf does have intelligence comparable to a man, it would have an extremely hard time memorizing techniques simply by fighting one who uses them. A werewolf that possesses human-like intelligence would also stay away from centres of human population to the best of it's ability, thus avoiding said martial artists for the most part.

I'm going to go with werewolf on this one...

There are so many different stories about both of them.
There is no bible where we are given a clear definition.

So werewolves can be clever or stupid, just opinion.
