Nah, they are different.

This one is: "Are there references made to Aliens and Ufos in the Bible"

The other is: "Do you think God/Jesus is an alien"

No, there are no references in the Bible meant to refer to a UFO. The interpretation of it referring to UFOs is just one of many interpretations of the Bible's often vague religious imagery.

How could it be meant to refer to a UFO? It could only be meant to refer to a UFO if they knew about UFO's at the time. Are you suggesting then that they did know what a UFO was?

Don't spin my words. I meant that there are no references in the Bible where the people writing the passage were referring to UFOs as we commonly define them; as some sort of alien creatures coming from space.

How can you be sure of that? You state that as if it is fact?

It is my opinion, based off of reading multiple books about Biblical archaeology from differing view points, and from reading a gigantic book examining the meanings, themes, and ideas present (in context) within the "Five Books of Moses," namely Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

Note, too, that most of the claims that a certain passage refers to aliens are also opinions, since there are no apparent claims within Hebrew Theology about extraterrestrial beings such as aliens; only God, the various Gods (usually referred to as false gods), and angelic beings. That some people interpet them as referring to aliens is their opinion.

Ok then, can you please post it as you opinion next time instead of passing it off as fact?

Like:

"IMO, No, there are no references in the Bible meant to refer to a UFO"

Instead of:

QUOTE
No, there are no references in the Bible meant to refer to a UFO

I'm sure i would have been flammed if i came in saying "Yes, they are mentioned". I just think it should work both ways.. Pretty simple really..

Actually, the Bible is a history book explaining how aliens created all life on Earth and how these aliens influenced our lives. And since you're asking for quotes that would be interpreted as aliens or UFOs, you can find plenty of that in the free e-book "Intelligent Design: Message from the Designers" from The Raelian Movement website.

No, the bible is made up of fairy tales with some historical events thrown in for good taste.

I'll certainly attempt to make that clearer, although it wouldn't kill you to actually answer my point rather than nitpick my language. Assuming you can.

My point was that there is no clear evidence, from either archaeology, historical records, and the Bible of extraterrestrial intelligence in the form of aliens. There are certainly references in the Bible to holy beings, and God, but the only proof we have that this was referring to some kind of aliens are dubious interpretations of certain scriptures (such as Ezekial's "wheel of fire"), and the words of self-proclaimed prophets such as Rael.
That is NOT just 'my opinion;' all of what I have just said now is factual, unless you have contradicting facts that you wish to present.
