Ok about a 5 min bikeride from my house there is a road called Rockadundee Rd.
There are many unlinked tails that come from there. One, 10 teenagers about the age of 16 all went out and hung themselves in a row to become the The Rockadundee Spirits. Two, an old hermit woman known only as "The Hatchet Woman" lives in an old shack and chases children with an old hatchet. Oh, and just so you know, there wasnt a road there 40 years ago... It was dense forest.
Three, Because of the Spirit of The Hatchet Woman and The Rockadundee Spirits, anyone who entered was ensured never to come out. My father slept there with no tent for 3 days and nothing happened, but he did hear some strange things. My dad tells me he saw the hatchet woman when she was alive, and she did chase him! Still today, thoes in my town (small little hick town) who have heard the tale from there parents, would never go down that and there is a remainder of a broken down shack which is said to be the hatchet womans shack. Even though police deny any suicides in my town, there were bodies and my dad saw the ropes used to hang themselves i think, when he was 10 though.

This story is 50 years old and i did not make it up. I dont really believe it, but i wont go strolling down rockadundee ever! lol!

It sounds like a bunch of other stories strung together but hey unless you have to why risk it?

I wouldn't go down there either... even if it wasn't real, I'm not staying to find out.

I've heard about the Hatchet "MAN" but never a woman if i was you and you ever decided to go down that road I pack some heat on me just for protection ya kno like a .38 or a .357 it's better than a hatchet

I want to go into the shack, haha. You should check old newspaper clippings (in a local library or somewhere) and see if theres anything about the suicides.

Just sounds like a string of urban legends attached to the place by various generations.
Most likely, the current crop of adults had the hatchet lady tale when they were kids, as there were lots of horror movies about wierd hermits and stuff around the 70s and 80s.
Then with all the teen horror of the 90s caqme the teenagers legend. The two were attached to each other and boom. Instant urban legend

Incidently, why did your dad sleep in the woods without a tent? I would have been more worried about bears and coyotes than the ghosts

No, my mom just really likes to creep me out. we were driving at like 2 miles an hour on rockadundee rd at midnight. I don't get scared by that, though. I actually wish something interesting DOES happen.

lol I dunno, my dad slept there because people dared him to because everyone believed in the legends there but my dad was convinced they were fake, so he slept there without a tent to prove eveyone wrong. And he was right, but it makes a very good ghost tale,

i got an idea, if you RALLY want to find out something without risking yourself..that much... take a camera put it on a tree YOU WONT FORGET ( try the shack ) and let it for the night adn come back and check video, if u hear/ see anything and sTILL want to find out, then go for yourslef WITH FRIENDS OFCOURSE ....sounds to me like the Black witch project ( or sumthing like that forgot the name ) with a gun... only take the gun if its asome murder lady/man but u cant shoot ghosts can you? and why would the teens hang themselfs jsut like that? if they really hung themselfs...

My friends and I went down there last night and we talked mad sh** about the ghosts to try to provoke them but the most we got was a couple kids saw someone sitting on a rock and then a couple minutes later me and this other kid heard a yell coming from the forest. One of my friends somehow got directions but they were all messed up until you hit hampden, MA then they were dead on. When we were lost we stopped in this corner store for directions and the guy we asked was kinda old and he was like "you're going to rockadundee road?!?" which kind gave us an ominous feeling about it. One of my friends had a camera with half a battery left that would have been at least an hour and a half if not more but after about 5 minutes of taping it went dead. The person driving's car also was messing up and stuff. The scariest moment we had though was when we went up this drive-way that had a big gate that was open and we got up it (it was small and winding and straight up dirt) we started to turn around on this small road and the car got stuck so that was pretty scary but just as we got it unstuck the outdoor light on the house turned on and we had no clue if this person was gunna shoot at us or what so we got the hell out of there. We are going to go back once we find out more info on it like where the shack is and where the kids hung themselves. Someone told me that the hangings was documented and my sisters roomate said that the hatchet lady was the ghost of lizzy bordane or however you spell her name. I don't know about the lizzy part but I do believe the kids hanging themselves. One of my friends told me this kid went up there a while back and he parked his car and saw an old persons figure walking towards him and all of a sudden his car died and his tire was slashed to ribbons and the figure just kept walking towards him but he got the car started and drove off on the slashed tire. If anyone knows where the shack is or where the tree's are for the kids (legend says the nooses are still there but I don't believe in that) than please post it. We are probly going up there in maybe two weeks or so.

This kind of sounds like this 1970's movie called "Cyclerama". In it a bunch of bikers figure out how to survive death and live forever. They learn this trick from one of the bikers mother who is a witch. Hey, play nice! I never said that it was a good movie!!!

dude i go there all the time! i drive like wicked fast! its ****ing creepy that that road doesn't exist. do you know that there is suposidly a house on a road near there but you cannot go on the road me and my friend nessa went up there its surrounded by gates and the only way to get up is the devils password. they say that a black witch lived up there a long time ago and killed children now the only way you don't get hurt is if your a wiccan thats why i go up there but all roads are closed off to go up there! but rockadundee is a cool place if your wiccan and can't be controlled by the spirits!

dude its no big deal to go up there! its just the hidden road that you can't go up. its mad cool. i ain't heard anything like noises yet but im waiting! its said that the wall surrounding the road is filled with bones of the people she killed! the Italian mafia brings bodies to the middle of the feild as a sacrafice to the black witch! ITS AWSOME!!!

Something very similar to this has actually transpired in Wales in recent months, where a dozen or more teenagers have hung themselves from a "cursed" tree. They didn't do it at the same time, though.

If i can just clear that last post up, the deaths around Bridgend in South Wales. There have been 17 deaths in the area most over the last 12 months which are believed to be connected through social networking sites.... but not all from a 'cursed tree' lol the latest on 20/2/08 was hung from a tree however there have been overdoses slit wrists etc also

Good story....i`d go to hell and back with my dad...he`s cool......and if he stayed anywhere for 3 days i wouldnt hasitate to stay in the same place....cept i might stay a few days longer just to tikhimoff.....so i think you oughta get the gurls guns dogs and campin gear and stay a few nights out there......start a camp fire...you`ll have a blast...... then come back here and post any weird things that may have happened......you could tell about the unweird things too............sound like a plan?.....Ej
