I would shoot with something big or shotgun at close range keep it in one piece present my find to science collect my pay check and prove that it exists. Just my thinking.

I agree I wouldn't want to kill the animal, but we all know if you take a video of it, doesn't matter HOW good it is, it will be debunked. The only way to have a species be brought to modern science is in physical form. I'd have to shoot it, better then to be called a lier, or a hoaxer.

I'd record some video with a -good quality- camera! Why are all recordings of cryptids bad quality?! I'd take some long 10min footage of it.

Just earlier this year / late last year a new species of monkey was recognized to science just from video footage.

Not quite crypto I know, but with clear video footage and some good physical evidence, say footprints and hair samples with DNA. You might be surprised the reaction, you might not convince everyone but you would get enough interest to atleast get some real scientists looking into it.

Well, I guess I'd want to take some video of it. I can say that I might be tempted to take a shot at it, if I thought there might be some big reward involved but I would try to supress my greed for the good of science.

In theory, I'd use a camera. I somehow think though that if a chupacabra was right in front of me, I'd be more than a little likely to kill it before it killed me.

wats point of taking pic/video if no one will belive... most people will say it was a hoax... but id head shot it to have body or kill it THEN take pic...

I don't think I would kill it unless it was trying to actually attack me. I'd go with the video camera. And I would shake it while filming, because that seems to be the way you go when video taping a crypto.

depends on what kind of camera i have in hand and what kind of gun.

I think I would have to kill the blasted thing. PROOF that the cryptid existed would finally be available that no one would be able to deny. A picture or video (no matter the quality) would be believed by some and "debunked" by many more.




Have you ever shot a rocket launcher? It's actually more likely to miss with this device than a high powered rifle as there is a much greater recoil... granted, if the rocket hit anywhere near the target, it would most likely be decimated in the blast, but because of the huge amount of recoil (and most likely your lack of proper training in shooting the device), you would shoot the rocket about fifty feet above your target, missing it completely and probably shooting the rocket into some trailer park or something...

and anyways, if you did hit the cryptid, there would go all of your proof, you might be able to collect some DNA evidence, but it would probably be so contaminated that any test would come out "inconclusive" and be discarded as a normal animal, which you would then face charges for animal cruelty not to mention felony charges for possessing the rocket launcher in the first place...

Due to the skepticism in the scientific community, the only way to prove the existance of a cryptid such as Bigfoot would to provide a body.
I would shoot it with a gun, attempting to only to subdue it for a capture of some type...

Yep, wound it in the leg. 99.9 % it would recover with modern medical science. You would hurt one animal, but once people knew it was real, legislation would be formed to protect it as an endangered species and even provide protected habitats etc. So in a way, you actually would be helping the species as a whole.

OK the best thing to do to me is to hit it with a traq (cant spell it ) and whele its out cold run up to it with a V.Cam and get a nice close up of it. Study it's body whele Video taping it, take a few pictures of it and take some hair/skin and what ever samples you can IN FRONT OF THE VERY CLOSE CLOSE UP CAM. Then when it starts to get up you tape it running away and there you go, all the proof you need no need to kill cause once people have proof that they are there they will go to that place to search for it.( in will also be a protected area so they wont be killed off )

But on the other hand.... if you shot it say in the foot and its blood went on the ground that can be used to prove the story.

Id kill it and show the body . Scientists say they wont believe anything unless they get a body or live one camera can be edited thats problem.
