To anybody who doesn't know, Big Day Out is an annual music festival in Australia (think of Woodstock or the Reading Festival).

I've heard the following rumours of bands playing:

Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Marilyn Manson (pees pants in excitement)
Nine Inch Nails (")
Tool (")
Dresden Dolls
Foo Fighters (")
Audioslave (")

Seether are confirmed (as far as I've heard).

If anybody in Australia (or anybody who cares) knows anything, pleast post. I really want to see NIN after I missed them in Sydney (because I had to study for the big exams)...

If it's a summer thing it's highly unlikely they've signed anyone up as of this moment. Try asking again in about 6 months

i was on the net trying to find oou sum of the rumoured lineup & i came across tyour post & only jioned this thing to post this comment to you so i hope it helps you out. chili peppers were playing but they cancelled because theyr new album date has bin delayed im not sure about manson but if he does he wont be coming to perth i dont think hes allowed here :( i had only heard kittie, audioslave, chili peppers, rammstein, the pixies but i read pixies are touring aus just not in the big day out, they dont want tour with a festival seeing its their first trip here mudvayne are a definate (apparently) & last but def not least TOOL (OMIGOD!!!!!!!!!!) & ive got my fingers crossed REAL tight. theyve popped up quite a bit around the place. the best way i found stuff out is just to type "big day out line up 2006" into google or yahoo or watever n look at all the stuff but the lineup officially cums out on the 4th october so not long to wait for the proper thing newayz well hope that helped a bit if you hear nething else please post coz ill keep checking

I heard the Red Hot Chili Peppers have pulled out I think because their new album is coming out around the time of the Big Day Out.

I guess we have to wait til Oct 5th for the announcements.

i dont live in austrailia, but sometimes i like to close my eyes and pretend i do! lol

i dunno i have always wanted to visit.
