The baby was born Wednesday by Caesarean section at the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center in California, the magazine said. No other details were available.

A baby boy for Britney
September 15, 2005

Pop singer Britney Spears became a mom yesterday, giving birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles. Declaring itself ''the first media outlet in the world" to report the birth, Us Weekly said Spears, 23, and husband Kevin Federline showed up at the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center with a police escort shortly before 6 a.m., and the baby was born via C-section just before 1 p.m. (To be fair, the National Enquirer was the first to announce that Spears had been admitted to the hospital.) The couple hasn't officially named the baby yet, but Us Weekly, quoting unidentified sources, said Preston Michael Spears Federline is the early favorite. Then again, UK's Sky News reported yesterday that Spears was considering naming the babe London after the city where her romance with Federline, 27, a dancer and wannabe rapper, blossomed. This is Federline's third child. He has two children -- Kori and Kaleb -- with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson. Spears (above, on the cover of the October edition of Elle) and Federline (left) were married last year, only months after the pop star's ill-fated 55-hour marriage to childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander. The couple confirmed the pregnancy in April, days before launching ''Britney & Kevin: Chaotic," a bizarre reality series on UPN that virtually no one watched. The birth of Spears's baby was also well timed. Just so happens that Fantasy Britney Spears, the singer's new fragrance, launches today. Beats the smell out of diapers.

Any creature can lie on it's back. It's not all that difficult.
Being the child of that though, you gotta feel sorry for it.

Yippee....

NOT!!!!!!

I really couldn't give a rat's toochie about it. I just wonder when dear ole Kevin is going to leave her, like he did the mother of his other kids. Sorry, in my book he's A-#1 CREEP!!!

She's also a damn fool for not getting a pre-nup!!!

Hey, I'm all for love. But is it love when he leave his pregnant girlfriend & marries someone much more wealthy than him? I don't think so! I think it's called, "What can I get out of this?"

Hey Britney can you say, "SUCKER?!!!"

pathetic

Hey, did you guys ever notice that with the addition of just 2 small letters Federline's name probably says a lot about him. blink.gif

Why is everyone dissing on Britney. Sure I don't agree with the way she had handled her life lately but hey she is a one of a kind-no need to diss.lol She has always been a fav. of mine. I just feel sorry for her for what's she's been doing with her life and to herself but hey we all make mistakes.

P.S. Also usually a story about Britney especially this kind of story makes the Front page news-not the Back page news. tongue.gif

I'll reply to this. When she first came out as a pop star, I thought that she was setting a pretty good example for young girls/women who might want to be successful or a star. And she isn't the only one, I put Christina & several others in this group. Then she starts doing some rather DUMB things.

The most stooopid being getting involved with Federline. I mean, come on!! He has a pregnant girlfriend, which is their second?? Let's turn it around, how would dear ole Britney feel if she was the expectant mother & the "father" of her baby just leaves her for another woman? I guarantee she'd be crushed & confused.

Now, I know we "can't control who we fall in love with". But we can control who we lie with!!! If she was a real woman, she would have said, "Kevin, go home! Take care of the family you already have."

I'm sorry but that punk is nothing but Trouble! I'm ready for the day when I hear that he has left her. Just how many kids will she have?? 2, 5, 10???

Also the audience that she reaches is generally pre-teens & teens. I'm sorry, but if that is your audience, you have a responsibility to set an example. Now, I'm sure that I hear that, "She has a right to live her life". Yes, she does. I'm not begrudging her that at all. It's just when in the public eye, remember people, especially your audience, dreams of know you, of BEING you!

I have many young nieces & nephews. I know that they look at me as an example on how to live life. Yes, I drink & ocassionally smoke, but NEVER in their presence. I let the older ones know that I do, but I respect them even so not to it in front of them. I think we need to live the example & not expect kids to do as we say, not as we do. ohmy.gif

Yes, it's a big burden, but she's known this for many, many years. I'd just hate for some 13 or 14 year old girl who wants to be Britney, but ends up becoming Shar Jackson. See what I'm getting at? hmm.gif

Also, I heard on the radio not more than 2 weeks ago, that she was spotted drinking alcohol & smoking cigarettes. WHILE PREGANT!!! That is a horrible example set by any expectant mother! no.gif

Yes, I know what you are saying. But I still like her. No matter what we think she is gonna do what she wants, so I might as well like her music if it's there. But yeah I see what you saying. When I went to to concert on her last tour in New Hampshire there were gaurdians-(parents, grandparents) and such walking they're kids out and disgusted because of things she was doing. I seen this one father sitting beside my spouse sit there and cover his daughters eyes during like the bathtub scene. I did feel bad. I knew she wanted to watch it but knew why she couldn't, so she took well to it. And she looked about 12.
And yeah, I wish she would had not got involved with Fed boy. I mean any man that ups and leaves his prego girlfriend that is mother of his child and other child on way to be with someone rich isn't meant to be for fatherhood. He is the type that should go join the single partying boys, cuz that is what he is, is a boy. I can't beleive it don't upset her that she is buying him everything instead of the other way around. How sad... Father can't even afford to pay for coming baby's stuff. Heck he didn't even go to his sons first bday. Britney bought all his kids toys. I guess she was just so desperate to find someone that she had to choose scum bum. But she had a good man. His name is Justin T. Only problem is she cheated on him.lol ok enough about britney already.hehehe original.gif
kthxbye
Kevin Federline scares the bajeezus out of me.

I had 3 c-sections and I beg to differ. I wish I hadn't had to go through that..

About Britney, I wish her all the best. No doubt she's got an "excellent" chance of ending up single sooner then later, but I believe she's strong enough that she'll realize she's better off without that mooching husband of hers when the time comes.

Hopefully, she won't lose too much when it does happen, not having had a pre-nup agreement done up... hmm.gif

Well my mother had ALL C-sections and so did her mother and she swears by it, and I'll add suggests it.

You really think a piece of white trash like Federline will leave a multimillionaress?
Not in this lifetime laugh.gif

Also I always thought London was more of a girl's name huh.gif

Well I had a C-section 2 yrs. ago when I gave birth to my one and only daughter and I was in excruiciating pain for like 7 months. I was in and out of hospital. Britney on other hand will have better luck than me with hers because she has money to have private nurses to help and such. Federline will never have to worry about getting his ass up every 2 hrs. at night for the first month to feed baby because Britney is too sore to when he's got work at 5 am that morning.. Ya he has it made. He better make the best of it in case she smartens her butt up and get's rid of him.

IPB Image about CSections.. they are horrible to go through! angry.gif Recovery process for natural delivery (usually) is approximately 1-2 weeks, while with a CSection, it increases with each CSection and usually is (for first one) 3 months. hmm.gif

amybutts
Okay, I know it is off topic, but.... I have to agree again with the C-sections... I had to have both of mine by C-section, the first an emergency C-section.

People tend to forget that C-sections are MAJOR surgery. You put yourself at risk each time you have one. You are cutting through tissues, nerves, etc., And the healing time for a C-section is far greater. You cannot even drive a car for six weeks.

I would much rather be a little uncomfortable sitting for a couple of weeks than go through six weeks of trying to figure out how to get in and out of bed, sit or stand up w/o using stomach muscles - because it hurts! Not to mention, the scar is not so pretty either.

Hit my baby one more time...
starlitkate
I agree amy and wabbits. It does suck. I never realized how serious it was till I had mine. I had one cuz I was a week over due and I had gained alot during pregnacy so baby's weight didn't help when she was straining to come out and I could barely even walk barely. But yes after I had mine I remember it was great healing while I was in hospital. The nurses were there always and only time I got up was to shower and change bedding and try to walk to strengthen stomach muscles which hurt. They waited on me hand and foot, even reserved the room for me so hubby could spend nights with me.
Go home!! I don't think my mother-n-law or hubby realized how bad my cesarian was. Cuz first night I went home after 3 days in hospital, I stayed up with the baby. By 5:00 am in the morning I couldn't get baby to stop cuz I could barely hold her. I was crying and felt like my stomach dropped open and my back was breaking into. My mother n law got up and took the baby for me. From then on, her and my spouse took nights about with the baby. She should had known better, she had 3 kids naturally and took forever to heal and kept nagging at me saying she knew like our neighbor that didn't have trouble after a couple weeks. I was like yah she had already had a kid once before naturally and knew what to do and she had alot of help and you expect me to do it all on my own. I've forgiven her for everyones sake. My sis-n-laws even took my daughter sometimes for me overnight. But when she kept nagging and nagging I started getting up at 8 in morning to start helping and was crying cuz she bitched so much.
Yup, you can guess what happened...I went to hospital with an infection and ripped staples. Yup my spouse had to keep my bandages changed 3 times a day, then he had to make sure he changed them same time 3 times everyday. He wasn't happy. We had moved in with her to save money for baby. Yeah, I was applying for a apt. in two weeks of having my daughter and got one. Now I have my own home. But at time I was willing to do anything cuz I hated my mother-n-law so much at the time. But that's the way she is. She'd do anything for ya. But she throws it up to ya by telling ya a million times what she's doing for ya. Anyways, I barely have a scar now cuz it healed and disappeared mostly after I finally heal. Just even though I've lost all my weight and got fit and toned back up, I still hurt every blue moon. They made it a law in maine now that if you had a c-section once that the rest have to be that way, I'd rather go thru natural if I could if I knew it wouldn't hurt me in the end.
P.S. I forgot all the pain wasn't just after surgery. I forgot to mention that they made me at the hospital sit thru 29 pokes in the back with a gigantic needle to numb me till it hit a nerve that runned thru my leg and they had to put me out during surgery. That sucked also.
