Wow... just because it's a security camera you say it's a ghost? That looks like it has been moded, because never has an apairition appeared like that. This video looks a whole lot more real than than that picture. And I still stand my my "ignorant" comment. Ignorant by ignoring facts that you can obviously see if you took the real time to look at this video in every way possible.

I'm not one who is easily spoonfed and believe in everything he sees if it's video, but this is the 2nd "real" one I've ever seen. If you knew anything about looking at picture and video which I have taken a passion to, you would most likely be able to spot a fake and a real one.

I didnt see any place to actually watch the security camera one, but i'd have to say that the still photo there isn't all that clear...

You assume I state that the image is a ghost...I don't... I merely propose you peruse the image, I leave it up to you to decide for yourself! There is a video for this which I am trying to find for you and others.

The second image is a little more convincing, but I keep an open mind, I don't say wow! a real ghost!, I merely offer them as good examples of quality pictures that leave little to a need for interpretation. Try to stop questioning my motives, I don't have any. I've stated my thoughts, and as far as I am concerned, I am done with this thread.

I've been thinking the same thing. I've been looking at it frame by frame as well and does appear that the white areas (as in sneakered foot) are actually flying debris that leaves a trail due to movement. I also noticed the same effect that made what at first appeared to be an arm and near the end, a head. But I'm really thinking it is simply an effect of the dust flying around.

One other thing that really puzzles me....everyone is discussing the fast turn the apparition makes, but no matter how much I study it I can't see what would look to me like a turn. When I look at it the apparition just seems to appear, grow larger and then start to get smaller again.

Did someone say the ceiling height was only 4 feet? If so, does anyone know the reason for a 4 foot tall hallway in this prison? (Sorry if this was already discussed and I missed it.)

Anyway, did you acutally see the video on T.V., or just the web site? If you saw it on T.V., it was a lot more clearer. I don't really know why, but it does look like it was turning on the show...

No, the ceiling is not 4 feet high, they determined that the apparition is about 4 feet high. And it is not so much that you see it turn, it is actually more of the lack of turning that is confusing. It is like it is facing the camera as it approaches, then is suddenly facing the opposite direction and leaving very quickly.

And I agree, it was much more clear and easy to see on t.v.

I will have to keep an eye out for that repeat, I'm sure SciFi will be having a marathon here shortly! LOL....

That's a good point. Even if you were to turn that fast with a cloak over your body, you would either trip on it or run into something.

Some one was playing a trick on TAPS. Didnt they come to that conclusion??

well, they are revisiting that prison next week, so we'll see what happens, im sure they will show this footage in the intro.

I can't wait for them to revisit, I hope they are able to record more paranormal activity.

ok Eva I was actually leaving work when I viewed the video clip....I saw this earlier on the Audio/video page, what really impressed me was the
clip of the Ghost girl...I am so amazed bye that one, the clip with the dark image struck me as fake because the pixels in the frame moved as if they had been changed...I am really here to learn and I love reading comments because I know nothing...really I found UM great because most of the comments are so smart..

I saw the episode this was in, and they attempted to recreate it with one of the members with a jacket over their head, but the ground was too littered with debris and it was way too dark to see your way running at a full sprint. I believe everything TAPS says... they're a very respectable organization, and I believe this video to be 100% truthful. They're going back to the building this was in in the next episode to try to gather more evidence.

I totally believe in the TAPS guys too. They don't need to pull anything to boost their ratings I'm sure. I tune in every Wednesday to see the show, I never miss it.

I saw it last night. Brian said he ear was tug at the asylum & Jason I think the head of the team had a door push on him. The funniest is bats fly over their head. I wanted them to still the video so I can see what type of bat they had. I hope they do Alabama next. I would love to see them at Green Mountains gates.

Eastern State Penn is in pretty bad shape but in some areas this spot included is in ok condition. I was there both before and after the show ghost hunters filmed there and I will say that there are stairs going up that you can easily walk on so the having to climb up is crap. The walk way isn't roomie but besides a fair amount of dust there is plenty of room to do a quick run down. TAPS did try to recreate it but did a poor attempt at it. To me the video is questionable. I wont say either way because I don't have all the facts. But this video could easily be recreated if you actually wanted to. What it comes down to is that no one here truly knows wether it is real or not so therefore you can only look at all the possibilities and leave it at that.

Because that can be done with video editing and effects. However honest TAPS might be, they cannot discard this can be easily done with some tampering.

and they didn't, they never even admitted that the prison was haunted, even after the video.

I liked the video because they said it was only the camera that was there. I supposed it was real but I have this uncertainty or veiled doubt.

I have looked at the speed of everything in the video and it seems to be consistent ..to me anyway. I am surprised the internet hasn’t found anything as of yet. There has to be something. This footage is the best because the speed or movements is surreal.

It’s in my dreams to capture such a video recording and knowing that I am alone. I respect TAPS. I am going G hunting at my Church(baptised) on the Reservation before snow fall and take a few pictures for UM once again.
Orbs, I would be careful not to disturb dust. My closest of families, my parents, my bro, sis, and Relations is buried or concealed there. I did go there once for ghost hunting and it felt it was wrong. I felt that I was at the place at the wrong time and felt feeling guilty as hell because I was not there for Worship.

Its paradoxical, because I do go to other cemeteries, other churches, along the Saskatchewan river, and other peoples houses for Ghost hunting.
Today, I am asking extra solemnly that if there is life after death. I am hoping to see and capture something(video) in this Life at my church, …to see someone that I definitely know that had went before me. I never did see a Spirit or felt there was someone. Not like you. I want to prove it for me.
My aged church is never locked and I never go there. I might be buried there(long time from now). I never visit my family saying that I rarely go to church. Someone mentioned the black and white aspect of the video. They did not film in black and white, rather it was a night vision camera; they were filming in darkness.

I like the video, but it is one of two things; a real ghost, or an edited video.

And do you have anything to actually back that opinion up? You have a right to believe what ever you want, but many other people who have posted in this topic have spent much time analyzing the video trying to explain it. If you have any real reason you think this is fake, other than you just think so, than let us know because it might help us explain things.

I don't know the show, I'm a bloody foreigner, but I watched the video and the first time I just saw this kind of timedisplaced movement of some dark shape. When I watched it again and put my focus on something else, like the bottom of the frame, I saw this critterlike figure, bent over, approaching and then running away. Looked fascinating but in my opinion not hard to recreate. It could very well be edited. Why not? Because those TAPS say so? Why trust their judgement, as long as they're on tv... I've been checking this video pretty extensively and there could actually be some messing around have been done with the timeline. It seems the dustparticles are decelerating when the 'turning-point' takes place. Another thing is that there is actually very few to see here, apart from a shape jojo-ing. Ok, but this into another account for all you debunkers, pitch blackness... have you ever tried to run through your house at night with all the lights out? It's kinda hard without hitting something or stubbing your toe.

That's a worthless argument. Don't you think fakers will go as far as they can go to create a really nice video or photo? That includes taking away anything that's in the way when you run through your house that could possible bump your toe. nice sentence... blah. At the expense of anything will fakers want something to be proud of. I personally think this is becoming more of a question of faith. For as far is I'm concerned, this isn't necessarily something supernatural. And as long as it isn't that, it's something natural. Although I'm not sure what it is then.

Whatever that is its not parnormal, but the being is not something that exists and walks among us on a daily basis. I think i've changed my mind about 3 x since i've watched the video, and now i'm coming to the conclusion that when TAPS go back if they are lucky they might be able to capture evidence of another kind:

i saw the program when they caught this on tape, and they went back to see if they could reproduce the video by a guy running forward and back like that but they couldnt, it looked obvious. they were as skeptical about it as anyone else
the people from taps wouldnt fake anything in my opinion

Am I the only one noticing an "line" or how to call it, above the path where the 'ghost' is running? It'd be possible to hang an thin rope with the 'ghost' hanging from it and run it back/forward to make the ghost seem to soar in mid-air... Any thoughts?

hmmmm....that could be a possibility....that would make sense cuz the robe looked like it was being pulled away fast from the camera.
