A friend from Toney told me that Dale Manison used to be in Hazel Green what where a One Stop is at now on the Joe Quick Rd. & 231/431 Hwy each other. The 2 story House is now in Elmonk, Al. It now has a green coat of paint and a new garage builded next to it. Well that what she told me anyway.

you gotta add more than that... nobody knows what you're talking about... that's why you don't have any replies.

There use to be a two story house in Hazel Green that use to be next to a shed on Joe Quick road across from Hazel Green Fire Department. It was known as Haunted Dale Manison. Well this is what a friend had told me. It is moved to Elkmont, painted green, and has a car shed next to it. That is all she told me. She didn't give the Elkmont address. It use to be white. That all. Now if you were driving in Alabama & head toward Fayetteville Alabama. If you look at the intersection of 231/431 & Joe Quick Rd. All you see next to your right is a one stop store next to the Fire Department. Well my father also comfirmed that it was moved. That All I got. Sorry. I still asking people. So maybe some more info might come up. Who knows. :shrugs:

and i'm guessing that it's haunted? what is the backstory of this place?

please don't just put up a set of bad directions and expect people to know what you are talking about.
amybutts
you can use the search engine, it has been posted before. original.gif

I will keep asking around. I thinking about going to the Huntsville Library when I can and compare maybe a old address or some houses that use to be in the spot. Or ask go to the Fire Department there & ask them about it. I going to figuire the story out. Maybe if I keep asking maybe little by little I will find out why it was called Haunted and about the person that use to own the house too. Who knows. If I find anything out maybe I will let one of you look over before I post again about. How that then I can either know if it postable or not next time. OK? But the thing I found out is a start isn't it?
amybutts
It would be interesting to know why someone would go through the expense and trouble of moving, and then painting it green!
Doggirl3
Yeah, when I can I might try to find any newspaper articles too. That might explained the story more. Amybutts I might use you as an online proofreader to see if it anything. If you don't mind. B/c this to me is a puzzle to solve.
amybutts
Sure, anytime!

I have lived in Hazel Green since 1988 and I only recently heard of this story on the Shadowlands page. There is a house directly across from the fire department but I would not call it a "mansion". Anyway, that house has been there the entire time I have lived here. It does have a shed beside it. It stands right behind the Chevron parking lot and a road runs on the other side of it and an open yard behind it. I wonder if this is the spot people are talking about.

Yes yes.gif that is it,what I talking about. Remember this store has got a phone store with it too now.And there is a bend & dent store too.The shed that I was talking about was sort of a long shed. I thing it was long at the time. People use to go there also to sale apples in that shed. I think the house was with that road or trail. That goes to a new shed now behind the store.I use to go by that old shed that not there now either, to to buy a apple. But I will try to get all the info so then if that house is what my friend said it is and I get all the story and history of why it haunted then it will sort be a history found in Alabama.

Shadowland probably has done beaten me out of investing the story. Phooey! And here I was all excited that I was going to get to investingated my something in history. Pam-Doggirl3 Alabama Hauntings-Found in Shadowlands. Hazel Green - Dale Mansion Site - A woman supposedly killed six of her husbands here. On stormy nights you can hear men screaming. There is a family plot where her father, the first settler of DeKalb County, is buried. Teenagers have destroyed the cemetery. - It is on private property. No Trespassing

ok you take joe quick to jimmy fisk and there will be a patch of trees and it has a dirt road going down the edge of the trees i wouldnt advise you to park a car on that dirt road tho the farmer is stupid and doesnt let people ride 4 wheelers on his land and so i wouldnt park there just park on the side of the road in the naborhood before well you have to walk up that dirt road and it will be the island of trees on the right and the graves are on the right side and if you walk to that side there should be a path in the woods and it should lead you to them and the house is on the very left side of them there should be a path and it goes up a hill and it should be directly on top of the hill and thats it if you want me to show you where they are exactly i will i live in the naborhood before the graves i would be happy to show you where they are exactly it you want

Just out of curiousity, what is the point of this thread? Is the house haunted or not?
Can you give us some history on the house instead of directions on how to get there?
It's not like many of us are going to visit the place.

Hey Gang,
My daddy and me went drive around town today and he decide to take me into the town next town. And he pointed out exactly where the site is. The land is nothing more the cotton field now. We didn't stop. I just thought that got my curiousity thing finish on that one. There is a group of small tree in the middle of this field thought. I figuire that must of been the back yard of the manison a long time ago.
