Yeah, I'm looking forward to this movie. I probably won't be dissapointed since I'm not expecting it to be better than the first. I mean, how can they have another twist ending like in the first one? If it is better than the first, then awesome. I'll either be satisfied or very surprised.

Argggh I hated Saw.
One of the most over-rated movies of all time.
It seemed to be trying to be both a horror and thriller movie and ended up just looking like neither

I cant wait, the first was awesome! I wonna see what happens to that guy locked in that room, and if there are any more attempted murders. That guy is clever tho, to turn murder into suicde

How was it over-rated?
The movie was filmed in 30 days and was in the cans film festival and the night of the premeire it was bought by twisted. No one hyped it up at all.
It wasn;t scary but it was a thriller.
And it was a great movie.

I'm not too excited about this one. Saw 1 got me really really scared, but what are they going to show us in Saw 2 that they haven't already? The twist at the end of the first one was most surprising but if they're going to pull the same trick again, it's just not going to work. I kind of get the feeling that all we will see will be more scary/disgusting deaths. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong and it's going to rock ... we'll see.

And I agree the twist at the end was pretty neat. Didn't see it coming.

Yeah usually i have a good eye for those things and can spot them but when he got up from the floor it surprised the hell outa me.
Can;t wait for the second.
They will probably do something to make you think of the first ending and then totally blindside you with something awesome.

It was hyped up by word of mouth. All these idiots who thought it was 'totally revolutionary' telling all their friends, Over here we had an advert on the radio with all people being interviewed coming out of the cinema saying how great it was. I dunno what bloody movie they saw, but the one I watched was terrible.
The characters were flat, the dialogue was poor and the camera and lighting were all over the place.

I agree completely, Nick. It was flat and over-done with atrocious acting by all the leads and looked like it was edited by MTV. The over-the-top Scooby Doo ending, where the characters take off masks and pretend to be someone else, was just ridiculous. I was terribly disappointed and just glad I had a free pass to see it.

Well I'd hope it didn't take a few years to make (ok, more than 30 days would have been good), but for cryin' out loud, the entire movie practiaclly takes place in the same room!

I've got to agree. I don't regret the 2 hours (or whatever) I spent watching "Saw" but I certainly wouldn't call it wonderful or repeat it.

Sep 20 2005, 07:04 PM
Well, it isn't easy to see the ungratefulness continue, someone is going to have to kill someone sometime. That is what actually happened in the end of "Saw" where there was jealousy, and the prisoner that was thought of as dead for the "one who got away" was still alive beforehand. This kind of thing only happens twice... so we'll have to see how they pull it off the second time around..
I can say SWEET!!!

Well the lighting was supposed to be bad considering they ddin;t want anyone to know the entire movie was filmed in a warehouse(Even the chase scene)

Um,
1. Saw was overhyped and overtalked about? I didn't even know it existed until it was up to pay-per-view. Then again, we got better things to do here than bring hype to movies- they got PR people who are perfectly capable of doing that for them, thank you...
2. If you didn't like Saw, then why are you over-analyzing it? I mean, you hate it and you're going on and on about all this stuff that would have taken you days to catch, as well as all the movie trivia...
3. People who name themselves after the worst comic character of the EIGHTIES(which is definitely saying something) have no room to talk about what sucked, period. Seriously- as Wizard worded it... "If you like Nick Fury, you better keep what you think is awful to yourself".

This just shows a helluva lot of arrogance from your part. It's like saying : "Those of you who get their nicknames out of numbers can't post for they're a**holes". Doesn't talk very good about you yanno?

Thank you Jpalz
As for your points 'FOT'
1. It was very very hyped up over here and is even the sequel is being hyped up in this very thread by people who haven't even a hint of what the plot is. If you can't see that then you may as well stop reading now.
2.I hardly think 'crap lighting' 'poor camera' 'rubbish dialougue' is overanalysing anything

Have you ever actually read a movie review? If I had to sit through an hour and a half of it, I think I'm more than entitled to give a three sentence criticism
3. I'm not even partial to Fury, I never intended to stay on here for more than a day, and thus, unlike yourself clearly, did not spend hours agonizing over a 'cool' handle. I saw the Hasselhof movie (which was probably better than 'Saw' the night before and boom!
Now, back to your regular business of bashing George Bush I think

Well sometimes people get caught up in how well the first one did.
Saw was kind of a sleeper hit but i think they might pump up the ads for this new one and could ruin it.
I really don;t want a whole lot of stupid people in the theater who haven;t seen the first asking questions to the person beside them like" who's that guy"?
or "i don;t get it"?
I hate that!

Yes! The soundtrack is awesome. I mainly want it for the new Bloodsimple song on it, but theres tons of other great stuff on it too.
I've been seeing the trailers a lot, and this movie looks better and better all the time. I think this is definately going to be a theater movie for me.

I might request a change but maybe not.
But here is some new SawII news.
Aparently the main cop character is pulled into the Jigsaw case because he knew danny glovers character in the first one.then once he finds that his son is one of the people trapped inside the house he becomes obssesed with the case and goes mad.
What i'm planning on is that Jigsaw is in the house while this happens and he watches from affar leading you off in another direction whilst the twist sneaks up behind you.
