Is he from The Kinks of The Doors?

I've heard a lot about him, but why is he so famous? He seems to be more famous than Freddie Mercury (or more talked about) of Queen, but most people would agree that Queen is more popular than The Kinks/The Doors.

The Doors are far more popular than Queen, imo. And Jim was a major sex symbol and a rather interesting figure. The dark, poetic badboy thing is probably what made him popular.

Just because Freddie Mercury died of AIDS, and Jim didn't, doesn't mean anything!

I think the reason why he was so famous was because he was so mysterious.

Jim Morrison died a long time ago, but apparently there have been sightings of him, I am sure the people who saw him were reliable sources...

I really do see something, But who is to say it's Jim's ghost rumor has it he didn't even die in the Uk that night.

Actually i did watch a show about it. A couple weeks prior to his death, his bandmates say he mentioned faking his death and that he would contact them under the identity 'Mr Mojo Risin' Then only the doctor and the gal saw the body and they can't seem to find the doctor? Pretty fishy but either way ....Cheers. Jim!

Jim Morrison was like my idol ever since I seen "The Doors" segment on a Kids In The Hall episode when I was younger and decided to find out who he was. His music was almost too impressive and his whole life in my opinion was also. He was one of the main reasons I decided to try "tripping" for the first time (well him and the psychedelic movment of the 60's I guess) That photo looks pretty cool to me by the way. If he were still alive I wish he would write more music.

I have to laugh here, because that looks EXACTLY like the kind of pose he would do!

Jim was a very deep person. He was into some really heavy things. I wouldn't doubt that he did fake his own death. And wasn't there something about him faking his own death and someone actually found him living in CA.?

Jim, I think, is one of the greatest poets ever. I don't think he is still alive. The Lizard King lives on in our memories.

in my opinion he was just a drug adict and a pervert with a nice voice pitch, its a shame that such persons are being adimered since decades ago, i like the music but thsats it.besides look at the example he gave tou young people about consuming drugs, look at the example he gave to you and your first acid tripo dedicated to him..
