If the attacks were over 100 years ago, do they really think they will still be alive now

i read something in the newspaper today, that this very month a pack of lions is highly active killing over 20 people and about 200 bulls.
dont know if they were maneless, i couldnt finish the article

no, they are searching for lions of the same species as the "ghost" and the "darkness"
