In a small town called Truscott in northern Texas, I heard a weird noise one night. While getting out of the car, I hear a loud screech come from the woods. This noise-that I only heard once-made every dog in town (it's a small town) start barking its head off. Anybody know what it could've been?

Google "banshees". Not sure if I believe in them myself but it's a thought. They are said to scream before a death.

An owl??

Or it could be a banshee!
(Was it ever heard again?)

A wildcat sometimes screams like a woman. You can tell if there's more than one scream because they're all exactly the same, the pitch and everything. We had a panther down in the hollow back of our house when I was a kid and I remember listening to it.
Could have been that or could have been an owl. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it was something supernatural. There are too many natural possibilities.

Northern Texas. The sound was kinda like when on Men In Black, the alien jumped from the roof and screeched on the way down. It sounded like that.
