Been there! That might be explained by dopplegangers, but the movement of something black in your peripheral vision can't be explained that easily. What the Hades are they and what can we call them..Black things isn't very catchy.

Yep. Scary. Give me goosebumps sometimes. Also a feeling of being watched. Shadowpeople? Angels? Demons? Or just an evolutionary mistake in our eyes?

Try "Shadow People", although what I see is usually shaped more like cat. Still the explanation is fairly good.

This only happens to Moe after raves, where we had spent that entire night dancing and bouncing under the influence of strange chemicals. We call these shadow beings "the cookie monsters"

They are nucli or "shades" and they can be seen when you look in different directions quickly. They are common and do not harm the eye. They are bits of dead cells from the eye and they float around the inside of the pupil, eventually finding their way out through the corner of the eye. The crust in the morning is this stuff coming out. But you will always seen them. They're like little worms wiggling around.

Does this include the people that you see? Like, almost as though you see someone standing there or moving next to you, but the shape of a body is very distinct, there's no mistaking it. Very strange.
Also, does anyone get (sorry if its a tad off topic) a breeze that no one else feels? As though you are being blown on by some unseen being, but there is no physical way to explain it?

some people say that they are guardian angels, others say that they are a figment of your imagination, personally, i think that they could be shades from the underworld or spirits of nature. but they could even be the people who live inside your head, uh, i think thy're called muses.

I thought I was the only one. It goes on all day, and it isn't just dark it's all shades of light in those ( "worms" - electric micro - eels ). Ive had that for a decade or so. I am wondering if there is anyone else who has that and 'notices'....I thought it was my own personal phenominon...
I had a name for them myself actually. 'Leap-lore-mica'

Both my parents suffer extensively from this 'Floater' problem. The optometrist has told them that it's perfectly normal and safe. He proceeded to explain, but the previous posters did that quite nicely.
On a related note, the other day I saw what looked like a puff of black, oily smoke, out of the corner of my eye. The smoke was such as the kind you get when burning painted wood, or anything with those kind of chemicals. I looked and it was gone. I suspect it may be related to a few paranormal things I've been experiencing, but a) I don't believe in such things, b ) I'm probably just paranoid, and c) This isn't the right forum to discuss it in anyways.
So, could the 'smoke' be a variety of these floaters, or...?

I have seen human shaped shadows in the corner of my eyes and when I looked they have gone. Plus I think I can see like a clear glow around things when I look close at them.
