Last night I dreamt about that I couldnt go to sleep... But then (I think) I woke up and I walked out of my room to outside of my parents' room. I felt really dizzy while I was up, and my vision was a bit blurry. I decided to go back to bed, so I turned around and went back. I remembered that I closed my door behind me, because it has a hard time closing. Next morning I get up and thats the only thing I remember from my dream. So I was wondering, was I sleep walking or dreaming???

Technically when you sleep walk you are dreaming.

But will you dream that you are walking out of your room, or somethin else?

You act like you're living real life but in fact you are dreaming. I dreamt that I went to the bathroom and almost urinated on my bedroom wall when I suddenly woke up. Dreams can seem very real. And sleepwalking is a form of fulfilling a need your sleeping mind wants to accomplish, but your conscious mind forgets to do.

ok I saw a special on TLC about sleep walking and why when we sleep and dream normally we don't move, and that is due in part because our brain or a thyroid produces a
chemical, (or something) that paralyzes us while we are sleeping just so we dont take off,
I belive they have shown that people who sleepwalk may have low levels of this in their system or their thyroid or brain does not produce enough to stop you from actually moving, any way sounds to me like you were sleepwalking
here is what I got from TLC's web page

sleepwalking Sleep disorders may also be part of a mental disorder, such as anxiety or depression. Other sleep disorders may be caused by medical conditions, such as hormonal imbalances. They may be caused by abuse of substances, such as cocaine or alcohol

Now so long as you are not speedballing or something it sounds like perhaps you are not getting enough sleep or stress or maybe hormones?

blink.gif in any case be careful because you could hurt yourself~

Yeah, this one time I was supposed to get up at 2:00 a.m. to wash my clothes. But when the alarm rang, I went back to sleep. That night, I dream I put my clothes in the dryer and when I woke up, they were clean and ready to go.
And yesterday, when I woke up, all the lights were on. Either I was sleepwalking and turned them on or a ghost is in my house, which seems likely because of all the "bumps" in the night.
Oooh! And sometimes I wake up in another place than I fell asleep or sometimes I don't even wake up; I just realise I am awake. S'weird

I sleep walk semi regularly -- about 1-2 times per month. I never remember a dream in which I'm walking anywhere.

Sleep walking would be very freaky i rekon. U could serious get hurt. I had a mate that suffers from sleep walk (or wateva condition u wanna call it). But he woke up to find himself standing in the middle of a deserted, dark, lanned busy road and got home to find out it was 2 am. Lucky there was no cars, otherwise things could have got nasty.

I have had my share of ULTRA realistic dreams. My favourite, ( haven't had it in a while from memory), but being on the edge of a desert cliff/canyon, blue sky, no plant life, no nothing but this big clicff, a HUGE falling distance and rocks, and i just walk off the edge and falll, loosing my stomach and waking up in a big gasping breathe. Another was about a night, where mum got killed in a tornado, Lol wierd, and another i remember that freaked me out bigtime was me walking to the family room of the hoouse to see this kinda metallic, gold hover shape (like that of the shape of that big white empirial star ship shooting at some other ship at the start of an old star wars episode) and i just wake up in a fright. These happened ages ago, nower days i don't remmeber my dreams, but these were the most traumatic i have had in my life from memory.
