daydream, I know you probably won't post in here anymore or even look at this thread, but I feel the need to reply one more time to the complete and total BS that is in your post.
QUOTE
Have you tried reading a book, other than Stephen King?
I don't know what the hell Stephen King has to do with anything, but I can say that I've never read one of his books in my life.
QUOTE
Have you tried listening to good music that isn't blasted up your arse every 5 seconds by clear channel entertainment?
Yes. I always listen to good music. Never anything bad. It's not my fault you're too close-minded to different kinds of music to accept that different people have different tastes.
QUOTE
Have you tried listening for meaning in music?
Again, you evidently know nothing about metal. Most metal bands take a very subtle approach to the meaning in their lyrics. I don't know about you, but I'm smart enough to understand it.

Go listen to Killswitch Engage and tell me that they don't have some of the most meaningful lyrics you have ever heard.
QUOTE
Have you tried listening to an artist that doesn't pay into the payola system and actually has a mind or minds of their own?
This, again, brings up the fact that most metal bands are underground, and sign with labels and companies that let them express themselves more freely. Some bigger labels (i.e. Roadrunner) let bands do that anyways, thus allowing them to become more popular, but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have minds of their own. Apparently, what you think of as metal, isn't even REAL metal. Most of it is what we call "nu metal", which is 99% mainstream, and allows people like you to make false generalizations about what all metal is like. Trust me. You have NO idea what metal is.

QUOTE
Have you ever not been a total disgrace to the idea of free speech?
I have never been a disgrace to the idea of free speech. Let me tell you something. EVERY band uses the idea of free speech, thus allowing them to alk about whatever they want to, wether they swear, or not. Swearing profusely doesn't disgrace the idea at all, but only enforces it's meaning. Or else, what would free speech be if we couldn't talk or sing about the most vulgar and offensive stuff on our minds? I'm not saying this is what makes a band good, so don't take that the wrong way.
The lesson we learned here today, kids, is to not talk about things we don't know anything about.
If you feel the need to come back here, making some lame, stupid statement on why metal is for "uneducated morons", as you put it earlier, I'll be right here waiting.
To get back on topic, I know that Rammstein has a new album coming out, and that they have a single from it. I heard part of it the other day and it sounded pretty good. Does anyone mind telling me what it's called?
