Im not sure if it is right section for it, but...
Once I heard one woman saying that a chance that in universe like ours can appear a galaxy like ours and there can appear a planet like ours, with all circumstances needed for life, is the same as a mercedes collects itself from component parts in the big car laystall, when strong wind is blowing ... (she told this to prove God)
I say: a mercedes can collect itself, if the wind is perpetual, the car laystall is eternal and the time is infinite. Then its not only the chance that it collects, then its necessity.
What do you think?
(I hope you understood all this, my english isnt very well)

True, but the universe has only supposedly been around for 20 billion years max. It hasn't been around forever (even though in our perceptions it is forever, as the beginning of the universe and on is all we can percieve).

According to M-theory our big bang that happened 20 billion plus years ago happens all the time, and that their are an infinite amount of universes.

I dont think we'll ever know how old the universe is IMO. and the big bang, could have easily been a supernova...

please, we have no idea how old the whole universe is

no form of science can tell us this.

I believe that this discussion is similar to Hume's watchmaker proposition. Which stated something like; if I am walking in the woods and find a fine watch laying on the ground, I do not assume that the watch put itself together by chance. I assume an intelligent watchmaker.
I tend to agree with this. Some will say that given infinite time, every possibility becomes a reality, eventually. I don't necessarily believe that. There could be an infinite number of "failures" that never result in anything being "created".
Moreover, no matter how esoteric we become in our scientific theories of the beginning of the universe(s), we cannot overcome Infinite Cause. Infinite Cause is the most simplistic argument for God, but still the best.
