i'm an ojibway indian from canada and the wendigo (or windigo) was a supernatural creature that was either a giant, or some sasquatch like beast, but it always had one common factor... it ate people. It wasn't a good thing. I also recall that horrible movie, it was pretty stupid.

I am interested in the concept of the wendigo, and I would love to see one of the pictures. Anukasil, if your "cousin" supposedly has a picture of a dead wendigo, would you have access to it? I think that no one will take you seriously if you do not give some type of proof that your "cousin" hunts something that has no proof for it's existence.

you can't kill spirits with a sword, maybe entrap them within a blessed sword but you can't kill them. it'd be like trying to attack the wind, the wind has the upper hand because it cannot be touched by mortal weaponry, as it is not mortal itself. because its another spirit entity of the earth.

i believe that i heard the wendigo was part of native american folklore so those are the roots as far as how credable they are i am not sure if there have been encounters or not.
