For those of you that do not know, the replica of Fort Clatsop in Astoria, Oregon burned down yesterday.
This replica was an exacting duplication on the very site of the same fort that the Lewis and Clark expedition stayed in for a winter before returning to the eastern states. Within this fort was a museum were irreplacable historical documents and artifacts were kept.

Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries, and authorities do not know if it was arson or not yet, though they do not suspect it.

I was really sorry to hear about this, Rhom. That's really a shame. All those historical things just gone like that.

^Sadly this has happened and is still happening all the time, we lose so much of our history through human carelessness, selfishness, indifference, accidents etc..... its just such a shame!
