Let us know what your listening to. If you got a link to the band's web site, slap it on so we all can take a gander
At work, I usually listen to
Tom PettyTenacious DWith a little bit of
Ted Nugentand of course
Led Zeppelin!During stressful times, like last week's year-end inventory at my job, I like to slap in some Bach. Great concentration music.
At home, I relax to
Toby KeithAlan Jacksonand
Willie NelsonWhen I want something a little heavier.....
Metallica, before they crapped out their latest album
NightwishIced Earth, a metal band from my home state
PanteraBut when I want to be transported to a sunny beach with a Corona in one hand and a margarita in the other, I gotta listen to the one and only

When feeling heavier (also used as workout/running music):
Metallica (mainly classic)
NIN
Deftones
Any heavy 'new metal' that happens to be on the radio (i disappoint myself)
Softcore Rap such as Jurassic 5
When in need of Musical Inspiration for future compositions:
Ravenous Soundtrack
Phillip Glass again
Music from just about any video game
When I want to sing along:
Cake
Violent Femmes
The Strokes (even though I mumble the words)

Blood Angel - Naah - not really. That said Rammstein rocks - i saw them first in a pub in london in '97 one of the best gigs i've ever been to - i don't like big venues and rammstein only play arenas now, there is nothing like being up close and personal with a load of silly german buggers setting fire to themselves
Das Ich currently sounds alot like Nine Inch Nails the rest defy definition - Especial Neubauten: they sound like an angry German shouting over a car crash! if you have broadband i'll email you some mp3s if you are interested. If you don't then i'll post you a comp cd if you like.

The best Rammstein MP3 I have is a metal version of Kraftwerks 'Das Modell'
Now...it has to be said that Kraftwerk kicks major as...bestos...^^;
But having Rammstein cover them made me grin from ear to ear.

Anyhows, Im currently listening to SID files in winamp.
For those who dont know, the SID chip is one of the greatest soundchips ever to have existed...it was used in the C64 and is amazing.
Im also kinda ticked that after making a DLL to make winamp play SID files, there's actually one up for download...boy do I have egg on my face...

I recently busted out the classic "even worse" album by Weird Al. For no real reason I decided to listen to it, and now as I am a lot older, a lot of the songs have become a LOT funnier as I am noticing more of the perverse/twisted humor in his songs. 2 in Particular on that album. "The good Old Days", featuring lyrics about torturing his homecoming dance date, bashing in the head of an old shop keeper. and torutring rats with a hacksaw. The second is a love song 'Melanie'. Although it plays out as though he spys on ans stalks this girl and eventually commits suicide because she rejects his advances. I don't know...maybe it's not that funny after all, but it gave me a good chuckle on the drive to work...
