Still no chrome Ciraxis? Keep trying!
Alaska is DEFINITELY NOT overrated. The best salmon fishing in the world, maybe except BC (The Skeena River).

I
love fishing! Problem is, I'm allergic to fish,
deadly allergic.

So, as you can imagine, that limits my mobility in the world of fishing. My dad always has to be around and carrying an epi-pen when I fish, I have to wear gloves. Nothings happened so far, but, you never know. I usually catch bass and the common fish. Once, in Tennessee, I caught a hellbender which is a two-foot long lizard, caught me off-guard.

I've caught many sharks down in FL. Most are small bonnetheads, but we did catch some big lemon sharks.
In Myrtle Beach, I caught a couple of 5 foot duskie sharks, and then a 12 foot hammerhead.
You can see the pics of the duskies on my fishing album.

waaaaaaaazzzzzzzzup , im bored lol, im going to try to get a charter for some shark fishing of the coast of NC, but still not sure: and i have no idea what shark to go for, gues u juust throw a big chunk of tuna and some chum blood and gound up chum.
frogfish
Feb 13 2007, 01:26 AM
Well, if you're on a charter, you don't get a choice on what bait to use...I advise not going out by your self. For shark-fishing, you need an experienced crew.

I know of a fellow named Quint who is an experienced fisherman. he charters his boat the Orca every season in Amityville.

Quint was the character played by Robert Shaw in Jaws. the Orca was his boat. the movie took place in Amityville, Long Island NY.if there are any factual errors, please don't be harsh:it's been awhile since I've watched JAWS.

went out ice fishing today. it was too slow. we started a bonfire on the ice and just sat on buckets with holes drilled near them and fished by the fire. fire is always fun.
frogfish
Feb 17 2007, 09:07 PM
Lighting a fire while ice-fishing is not safe...especially on thinner ice.
speshall mareens
Feb 17 2007, 09:32 PM
yeah, but its two foot ice and we couldn't do it on shore like we normally do. actaully more like 2 1/2. cought a couple nice crappie, but the rest was haters*
*haters, a term used in my area classifieng the size of a fish, there are three
bait takers-to small to catch, they just steal your bait or are to small to dignify if you actually manage to hook them
haters- hate to keep them but hate to take them back
keepers-what do you think?
frogfish
Feb 20 2007, 07:15 PM
Had a change of plans...Instead of hitting the river for walleye and steel, we instead punched some holes through Kent Lake. We caught a whole mass of 8-10" crappie for the frying pan on teardrops tipped with minnows. Jigged or deadsticked.
I willd efinitely go for some chrome this weekend.

Mmmmmm....steelhead.

Two steelhead caught by my friend a week ago. I had a fish on too but the line snapped when I was trying to get it over the shelf ice.
Ciraxis
Feb 21 2007, 01:31 PM
we're buired under snow here so i haven't been able to get to the steelhead streams. the salmon river has over 11ft of snow and the other creek i go to, they never plow the roads need it. I'm pretty bummed about it too, but its been warming up here, so i'll see if i can fish the small trout streams around, one of my favorite sections is still open.

sorry to cold in virginia to go fishing, but spring break ill be up in boston with my dad so we might go lobster fishing with the lobster traps. I wouldnt get to excited though depending if its lobster season, plus the really good lobster grounds are coverd with lobster commercial fishing and regular commercial fishing with the drag nets so we might have to stay close to the harbor or if theres not alot of boating traffic we may go out further.

either way ive just got to wait and see.
