Not the Mayans... MAYA.

It's a program, that allows you to create 3D animations.

Does anyone know how to do this? If so... I have just a few question for you original.gif

Hey. Maya is a great program, I don't know too much about it but I've play about on it a lot. I'm going to try and get it again soon if I can. If you're new to 3D graphics than I advise you learn 3D Studio Max first, as it's got a better interface.

There's lots of websites you can use for help with tutorials, and they help a lot. Here's one of them:

Yeah, if you're very good. The basic models themselves are fairly easy to make, but it gets really complicated (for me atleast) when you get to doing the textures.

when I was into 3d gaming (failed miserably) I used 3ds max in my opinion it was better then maya. Currently on and off again I'm learning how to use Light Wave for 3d film animation, but its been a while since I'm not studying in school yet for it.

Ther is this great community I used to hang out and share my work 3D Buzz they have a huge community with helpful people tons of tutorials and a section for video tutorials it helped me out alot. link

There is another site I know of where the pros actually hang out (i'm very serious the people who actully worked on the cg of movies like star wars, finding nemo, shrek, and video games like metriod prime, final fantasy to name a few hang out there), I'll post the link when I find it.

I wish I could, but It's been so long since I've used the program I wouldn't be able to remember anything until I started playing around with it all again.
