I have just moved into this house a week ago, so I am not sure if that has anything to do with my perception of this event.

Nathan and I were walking out by the tree line in the common area (a large open field) in my subdivision for no reson in particular. When we were a little ways out from my house, I caught a breif glimpse of what appeared to be an albino fox tail, only much larger, next to the tree line about thirty yards away from us. I only saw it for a second before it strafed in the direction of the trees and seemed to vanish (this all took about two seconds).

I was a little freaked out because about six months ago while I was at a different friend's house we almost ran into a buck deer who was guarding his doe. The results would not have been pretty. Since I initialy thought that it was some large fox, I was afraid that it might be rabid or territorial, so I began backing away and instructed my freind to do the same. Then, about ten seconds later, I saw it again about twenty yards away. This is when I noticed that it seemed to be luminescent despite the fact that there was not much light shining on it and that it did not move or sway like a tail would.

The second time I saw it, it hovered near the tree line, then turned in a circle and dissapeared again. By this time we were very near my new house so we ran up to the street. Then I said, "Finaly, a lighted street!". Right when I said that the street light went out and I had had enough. We booked it back to the house and shut the door.

I wanted to know more about the "fox tails" so I googled paranormal sightings forum and found this forum. I am not sure if this is in the proper format or if I have provided enough information, but I would like to know if anybody has some idea of what these weird objects were. My friend saw a little bit more than I did, so I am going to put him on and let him give a first-hand recount of what he saw:

Hey, this is the friend, Nathan. So as he has said, we were walking along in his giant backyard, common area or whatever you want to call it, when I saw this "thing". It was white, looked solid and was about 2 feet out from the tree line. It was about the size of an adult man's torso. I know all this because I saw it first. I got long enough of a look at it to see it, blink, and look again, only to see it take what would be two steps back into the trees and vanish. Not move out of sight mind you; vanish into thin air. Now at this point I absolutly HAD to point this out to my friend, who I am spending the night with right now.

After pointing this out, he told me that he too had seen it. At this point I got quite scared and turned to head back. My friend too, started back but he kept facing the place where it appeared. He told me that it would be best to keep our eyes on the place, but I wasn't so sure. So I quickly surveyed the path behind us and then turned around. When I glanced behind us, I noticed something, but didn't sit down and think about it. Moments later I started grasping what I had seen.

About 50 yards behind us, I had seen it AGAIN. This sighting took place around 5 seconds after the first one. I disregard it and turn around.

We continue backing towards the house and I finally decide to act on my earlier instinct and watch the rear. I then notice that the "thing" was STILL behind us where I had glanced upon it earlier (the second sighting, not the first). Panicing, I say "Daniel, I have some news for you..." and he cuts me off saying "No, I don't want to hear it!" A mere fraction of a sceond later it vanishes and reappears to my left (the tree line). There was only about a half-second of gap between when it vanished and when it reappeared and I seriously doubt that there is ANY animal known or otherwise that can run THAT fast.

We finally turn towards his house because we are now less than 15 feet from it and haul butt towards the front door. I turn towards the door and Daniel said that we were going to go out here (the street). We walk less that 10 yards out into the cul-de-sac when daniel says something to the effect of "Good a lighted street." Just then, the street light goes out with almost no delay, and Daniel says "OKAY! THAT is IT. I have had enough." And we turn around, run back into the house, and lock the door.

Daniel again. I was not so much scared as just freaked out. I did not know whether the things were animals or not (I do believe in paranatural activity, but I am more inclined to believe that there is a logical explaination for most occourances) and I was more than a little weirded out about the proxemity of the street light going off to when I remarked upon it.

I guess the purpose of this post is to inquire as to whether anybody here has heard of anything similar in the paranormal field, as I am fiarly sure that no animal could explan what this was adequately. Again, this is my first post and I have no idea how things work around here, but any information would be greatly appreciated.

Did u happen to get a glimpse of its face orbody figure? Did it make any sound, even when moving around etc?

Sounds pretty freaky. I don't know what i would do in that situation. Carry a big knife or trolley bar in the future

Actually, the "tail" that I saw appeared to be the entire figure, not just a part of it. Now that you mention it, they did not make any sound whatsoever even when moving. I'm not sure what a trolley bar is, but I am not too sure it would do any good. Does anybody else have some idea of what this could have been?
