It dosen't hurt it leaves a red mark but it dosen't hurt it tingles though!!!!

Adding or subtracting salt does not make a difference.
The stinging and pain is a result of the ice coming in contact with your skin and the redness too.
BTW worst name ever school kicks @ss.
this can't hurt for some and not others.
