Starring the beauty-full Keria Knightly and the fantastic Christopher Walken, Domino could be this years best film!

QUOTE
A recounting of Domino Harvey's life story. The daughter of actor Laurence Harvey turned away from her career as a Ford model to become a bounty hunter.

Actually, i think it looks like complete and utter garbage personally. And i'm quite the fan of Ms Knightley.
Interesting fact. I posted a topic about it but it didn't get any responses, oh well.
The real Domino was found dead in her bathtub, throat slit, about 3 months ago. Holding the bloody knife.
She'd killed herself because of how awfully Kira had portrayed her on screen and how terribly they had re-invented her life.
I mean wow, it can't be THAT bad. But yeah i'd be pretty pissed too i suppose. Anyway the movie was due out months ago but they postponed it because of Dominoes death.
The real one, well, i have no idea how she became a model. She's no looker. And all she did was actually round up escaped convicts and get paid for it, not run through LA streets with two sub machine guns blazing blowing up cars and aprehending drug lords!!

BS where the hell did you hear that?
I read an article on her written by her mother the other week which said she died of an overdose whilst out on bail awaiting trial for drugs charges

snicker* Yeah, all 98-lbs of Kiera Knightley will sure make a fearsome bounty hunter.

I'm with Burns, this looks like tripe.
So, they did rule her death as a suicide? It was under investigation last I saw. No big surprise.

I think that this film is going to be absolute manure.
The line 'my name is do-do-domino. I am a bounty hunter', makes me cringe.

There have been press reports that the ending was changed following Domino's death, and also that she had been unhappy with her portrayal in the film - and in particular, the censorship of her bisexuality.
Well that is going to disappoint a few Keira fans.

Christopher Walken and Kiera Knightly.....hmmm.
Even though Kiera is a great actress. I cannot imagine her as a gun blazing bounty hunter.
however I think I'll see it anyways since it includes my main interest's.

-Firearms
-and Women from across the pond

Well, I think the line is over used, but I've not heard it stutter like that. Maybe you guys have a different trailer that has looped the sound differently?

I will go see it just to see Kiera. She is smoking hot. Can I get a hell yeah!lol

Drug overdose. My bad. The rest of it's right. *shrugs*
Keira doesn't even look hot in it. Not compared to Pirates anyway.
A movie isn't made good by having women with guns. Infact, that's exactly what makes it bad.

If you read on that link I put up, she acutally liked the movie and was at the wrap party. The other was rumors.

Before she was found dead in the bath at her West Hollywood home, Harvey had made clear her hatred of the film, starring Keira Knightley. Proudly lesbian, Harvey disliked what she saw as soft-porn titillation in the film and she regretted selling the rights to her life story for just £26,000. The film cost £30 million.

The articles I read said that was not true. You know how it is, everyone tells a different story. Who knows the real truth. I googled some links to bios on her.

I know what you mean. I've read both opinions too.
Well, she's dead now so we wont know. getting back to the movie, i for one don't think it'll be particularly interesting.

women with guns, gotta love it.

Oct 13 2005, 07:32 PM
Burnside, I'm prettey sure that story is a myth.
I say this because Miss. Harvey recently was quoted in half a dozen British newspapers saying that Domino loved the film, and whilst it wasn't entirely accurate, found it extreamaley enjoyable. She was also considoring taking legal action against Mrs. Knightly for saying that she did NOT like her Portrayal of her in a number of interviews.

I find it hard to believe that The Times would report random myth personally. But you may be right.
She died back in June though, so i don't see how she would have been recently quoted saying she loved the film when it was still filming then.

That doesn't make any sense.

lol, whatever makes you money. Does anyone else think that the trailer was blown waaay out of proportion to the truth? Is that why she wanted to sue or was it something else?

I haven't seen Walken on any of the trailers, or heard his name mentioned in the media circus. I'm thinking maybe he has a negligible 5 minute cameo

The media reports whatever will sell most copies or get most viewers. Truth is not always a pre-requisiste.
I remember a quote (not sure where from) which states: "Sometimes the truth is so important it must be accompanied by a bodyguard of lies".

Um... I don't think Burns even recognized it as a joke. It was just a bit of confusion and the how's and why's.

No joke, she's dead. Confusion towards how and why is all based on different reports from the media.
