One time I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. From the shadows of my eye I could see a certain shadow creature -- and from this day, I still do not know what it is. Nor do I actually care to find out.
But I know it to be some sort of dark creature, or perhaps a psychic vampire. I could feel as if my very soul was leaking out of my body, and there was nothing but emptiness and a chill to my very bones.
I swore that if I met this creature again, I would destroy it. Permanently.
It has not remanifested itself, but I'm still waiting to see if it came. Perhaps it was just a psychic vampire sucking my energy via the Astral or something else. . . . but it seriously pissed me off. In a very annoying sort of way.
Has anyone else's sleep been interrupted by these despicable, annoying creatures? Seriuosly, they are not all that scary, but I do find them to be a serious nuisance when they do their things.

Sleep paralysis. Vivid dream or even a hallucination. The most logical solution is the right one.

I've had PLENTY of sleep paralysis experiences before. I know perfectly what it feels like.
I've also experienced quite a bit of hallucination in my sleep.
I think I know the difference between a deliberate attack and a false one, thank you very much.

I don't think you do. I noticed you did not put you age in your file. Hmm. Why would you jump to the conlusion that some paranormal being(which there is no such thing)visited you, instead of a more realistic one. Get a medical checkup(mental) rule out all logical reasons first.

I was perfectly healthy. And yes, I did go through an empirical, logical process and thus came my result.
Also, one must follow their intuition while simultaenously pursuing your so-called "logical" course.

If you truly went through a logical process, there would be no way to reach the conclusion that you did. That is a fact.

Thank you for such a thoughtful response. I respect your conviction, which I infer is grounded purely upon empirical, logical, scientific evidence?
A good paradigm to choose. You'll get far with it.

You can think you know anything you want. The fact is, the chances of it being a "psychic vampire" (a very specific choice of words by the way) are very slim when comparing it too something like your imagination.
But just for the sake of conversation:
How often do these shadow creatures show up?
Do they show up when you sleep in places besides your bedroom?
You said it felt as if they sucked out your soul, did they actually do it?
If they sucked out your soul, how exactly did you go about getting it back?
How do you plan on destroying this "creature"?

Well, lol. . . . . . "soul" might have been an exaggeration!!! I apologize for using such a term to begin with, I had brought this error upon myself.
Jayman, to answer your questions:
How often do these shadow creatures show up? -- I don't know. I'm not them.
Do they show up when you sleep in places besides your bedroom? -- I'm sure they could.
You said it felt as if they sucked out your soul, did they actually do it? -- Certainly not. Like I said I used the word "soul" incorrectly.
If they sucked out your soul, how exactly did you go about getting it back? -- They didn't. . . ..
How do you plan on destroying this "creature"? -- Magickal combat, rituals, invokation, evocation, all sorts of tricks here and there. Also, I might not be able to. He might have been another person of greater power than me (and my power is not that great, I will be honest, although one of my curses have almost been fully completed hehe).

Like David Blaine magic. Thats the only magic there is.

Like banishing them? A lot of people say they are pesky.
"Magic" in this case would be using energy and willpower to protect yourself from negativity.

And please explain this almost fully completed curse you spoke of.

I practice Chaos Magick Theory, which by itself isn't a "system" but rather an anti-system designed to do nothing but provide a functining way of conducting magickal experiments, etc, etc, etc. . . .
That is MY intrepertation of CMT. Others will say different things, becuase CMT is up to the individual to decide.
However, unlike most occultists out there, I view everything as experimental. Life's more fun that way.
Let's see. . . . what do I do. . .
1. Create thoughtforms. I really haven't done this lately, and I don't think I'm going to. I don't like relying on servitors and things that can [potentially] get out of my control.
2. Curses. My last one was about a year or so ago. . . ... . It was sort of like an experimental-curse. I used Kleenex paper, my Ego, and I believe my servitor at the time to lay a future trap for my stepfather. Needless to say the results are already happening.
3. God-form assumptions. I plan on trying this one out more. I have done it before, with some gods from several RPG games. It has worked decently, but I need more experience before I can do anything.
Peace

Yes, but I don't think the question is one of possibility, but rather probability. Because from my knowledge not all thoughtforms are created consciously -- some are created unconsciously, much like my first one.

all this is very possible. I had a experience, where i was laying face down but, when i thought i was awake, was more of me being facing up where a shadow figure was in my face. Then looking at me face to face, i feel like my energy is being sucked out of me as well. All i can do is with my will power to say no, and it stoped. Who know's what it was but, when i woke up i was swinging my arm behind me to see if i can punch it or something. I was freaked out, then just went to sleep. I know it happened, very weird experienced.

Never heard of "fire thoughtforms" but I'm sure there are. Or are you talking about mine? No, that one was a guardian. What it is now, I don't know. I hope it has dissolved.
And I'm not going to try to see if I can contact it until I'm sure I can defend myself properly should it decide to go rogue.
==========
To Sweet Like Acid: Don't be afraid of such creatures. They might have the power to drain energy, but most of them can't hurt you otherwise. Your fear stemms from you not fully knowing what they are, what they can do, etc.
The best thing to do is the combat them with a powerful Will, or Ego (I find that Ego works better than just your Will for the most part). You have the power to break it apart if it is just a lowly entity (and most of them are). Against higher entities, you might want to invoke/evoke deities, spirits, or your own Holy Guardian Angel to ward them off.
To pr0jekt: Lol. I think I punched at where my creature was as well. . . . but it was on the ceiling, and voom one second it was gone. I think you did the right thing; the Will is a powerful tool. However next time try to invoke your Ego instead. . . . and put some Pride in there. Pride is a very poweful tool in a scenario like this.

Yea, i remember something say or me thinking. "His will power is too strong" that's when it ended. Thanks, i knew though that i wouldnt let it take any energy, it felt horrible to have that feeling. I was strong through it, and didn't fear it.

I'm glad you were able to overcome.
One thing you must also keep in mind -- these things are not alwasy "lowly" beings either.
There are psychic vampires out there, and for the malign ones, they are intent on draining energy in order to empower themselves. If you feel you are under constant attack in your sleep or while you're unprepared. . . . . . try to form some sort of protection. IE, if you are Christian, evoke the Holy Trinity, Jesus, etc. . . . you WILL be protected, provided you have a strong Will.
Now, some people are born vampires. I'm glad none of my friends are, but I've heard some negative things about people who are. And they are not all bad either -- they just can't help it. They need that energy to become revitalized. Thus, if you have a friend who drains energy, don't be so harsh on the guy.

I have had so many strange, waking dreams that I couldn’t distinguish between real or not. I get them so often I just roll over; even if a huge terrifying face is scream inches from mine. I swear I could feel the spit hitting my face. I have even been punched in these waking dreams and where I was hit it hurts for days. The brain makes it real!

Like I said, it was not a waking dream.
I've had craploads of sleep paralysis since I was 6 years old. I know what they feel like, and when it happens, I just ignore it. Sleep paralysis doesn't even bother me anymore. I either do 2 things: 1, use all of my willpower to wake up, or 2, just go back to sleep. I usually go back to sleep because I'm lazy and I like sleeping.

They can be. Like I said one possibility is that it was attacking me via the Astral, or a different plane.
