I've always wanted a Harlequin Great Dane, but just thinking about having to pick up erm.. well, ya know.. just turns me right off..

i have a dog that is part mastiff and yellow lab he weights around 160 pounds and is a big sweet loving dog.

I don't understand why there are dog breeds that are that large and not that smart. they are pretty dogs but take up a lot of space making them useless. They have a delicate bone structure and a weak bite. They are too clumsy and stumble into things, bite at little kids and run from burlars. I had a full grown great dane once, and he sure was stupid. he was a coward and would try to bite you only when your back was turned. As soon as I brought home my 4 month old Pittbull puppy, the 4 month old pittbull attacked the 4 year old great dane. sad to say the great dane ran off whimpering.....wussie dog.

WOW .. and I thought I had "Big" dog problems... I have a 10 month old German Shepherd ... and he is already almost 100 lbs....

And My best friend has a Great Dane.. she is almost 2 years old and probably weighs around 150 lbs.... but this guy is huge!!

I love great danes. A neighbor of my aunt's had a great dane named Zeke. She also had a tea-cup chihuahua which was about the size of a guinnea pig. It was hilarious when she took them out walking together.

Is anyone else disturbed by the fact that this dog can say, "I love you?"

not really cause for dogs there is no shame in this, but it is a real big dog!

My cousin had a beautiful great dane named Kayla. She was such a cutie. She got hit by a car earlier this week. Poor baby.

I must say you cannot generalize all big dogs into that category. there are a lot of stupid small dogs as well. as far as being mean dogs of any size can be mean and as far as being weak i know my dog cant even be walked by most people because he is to strong and id wager to say he could bite just as hard as any pitbull (which i dont even know why people get if all they want is a mean dog to chain in their backyard so they can think it makes them tough) not saying all pitbulls are bad but a lot are and i personally do not see the appeal of having a dog that you cant even enjoy and just want as something to try to rub into peoples faces. dogs should not be judged and called wussies because they are nice and in fact its good most big dogs are nice because that is natures way of keeping a lot of people from getting killed.
