O.K. So I was reading the thread on "Lost Time" and it got me thinking and reminded me of this dream I had.

In the dream, I am walking through the woods, following a creek, it is dusk, windy, and cold. I follow the creek until it comes to a tunnel. Just inside the tunnel is a person in a blue robe, with a wrap around his/her face (kind of like mummy wrap or whatever). The person isn't speaking, but telepathically telling me to follow. So I do. I follow the person/being for probably two miles into this tunnel, (which should be very dark, but is actually completely lit up although there are no lights and it was dusk, so there would be no sunlight present). Anyways... I follow the person/being until we come to some kind of altar inside the tunnel on which the person/being gets onto and stands in the middle of( it was built like a mini-pyramid or something). The being starts to spin in a circle, robe and wrappings flying off, revealing a half-charred humanoid body and then leaps at me, howling... and at this point I would wake up... I probably had this dream about 30 to 50 times between the ages of 10 to 16... I am now 22.

Now the weird part...
A group of friends, my sister, and myself went on a camping trip this past summer. We stayed up all night, drinking, shoveling wood into the campfire, telling ghost stories, all that kind of crap. However it happened, we got onto the topic of dreams, nightmares and then to recurring dreams... I've had a few recurring dreams, but no so long as the one I've just described. So this was the one I started to tell. I start telling about how I was in the woods, following a creek, and come to a tunnel. I notice that my sister is starting to get a weird look on her face; I shrug it off (we were drinking, I thought she was gonna puke tongue.gif ). So I start telling about how I come to the tunnel at the end of the creek and there was a person standing in the tunnel... and my sister cuts me off "OH, MY GOD! I think I have had this same dream!" I tell her to shut up and let me finish, but she cuts me off again saying that she already knows the rest of the dream, so I ask her to tell it to me... and she does... every detail, from the color of the being's robe to the fact that the tunnel was extremely bright, to the weird markings on the altar... she even described about how when the being was spinning ( and she verified that it was spinning in a clockwise circle) that it's clothes flew off in the opposite direction and then leaped at her at which time she also woke up...

It just struck me as very weird and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this...

neat... A weird thught just occured to me, maybe it wasn't your dream or your sister's dream, but maybe it was a third party's doing... me no know
rose_ashes
odd...
i'd say that either you and your sister share some sort of strong connection which could have caused you to have the same dream...

or, as was said above, it was a third party's doing.

Well, the weird thing is that it was a recurring dream for both of us... I have described dreams to people before and they have told me they have had the same dream, that's happened about, i dunno, five or six times to me... but it was a dream that we both had repeatedly, I was thinking that maybe something happened that we both blocked out of our minds and relived in our dreams or something. But as far as blocking something out of memory, isn't there usually "lost time" associated with such things. I have never experienced any "lost time" or anything of the sort. I don't know, it was just really weird, but it's not really a big deal to me at all... just thought I would share my experience...

Very interesting dream, darkninja.

May be this is a memory from a previous life.
I also have some recurring dreams, usually when I am tense snd stressed. However they are not that scary as yours. If I have a deadline or something important that has to be done I usually hve the same dream that I am back in high school (even though I graduated 12 years ago) and I am late for the class. The same dream over and over and over again.
Have you tried to look for any connection between what happened during the day and this dream that you are having. May be something in your life is triggering this...

hmmm
oncet I read a thought about all memories of everything is in ourgenes or something, or maybe it was ancestors... idk. Ask your parents abut their reoccuring dreams, and your ancestors.

alien.gif As I read the dream and the sisters similarities my first thought was an abduction , with your dream state filling in the blanks of what you and your sister didn't comprehend. A shared experience with friends or family members is not unheard of.

HI Darkninja:

I agree with Roger that you both may have been adducted by Aliens and remember the events only in a dream.

Another theory is that perhaps something like this happened when you and your sister were really little and it is coming back to haunt you in your dreams. It could be a weird religious practice.

Personally when I was little, my mom used to take my sisters and I to Santeria meetings (A religion which is a mixture of Roman Catholicism and religions from Africa.) They beleive in live Animal sacrifices. Some of these scences still haunt me to this day.

In any case, it is a very scary dream and it is amazing that your sister keep having exactly the same dream. Thanks for sharing.

or maybe you guys saw the same movie and it had such an impact on you that it reappeared in your dreams.

It's not uncommon for someone to forget the source of a memory, if you were both exposed to the same imagery at a young age you could've forgotten seeing it only to have it show up again later.

It doesn't really matter. Dreams hold no power unless you know you are dreaming. Forget about it. So you & your sis are close. what's new
