i certainly believe in the supernatural but i think this is fake, there were sound effects added and it comes from a site called 'jokaroo' cant be taken too seriouasly, was pretty scary tho. couldve been a woman or a drunk.

I'm not sayin its real cause I haven't actually looked at it but Jokaroo doesnt always have stuff that isnt serious on it they have had a few UFO footages on it and a video of the tsunami...

100% Corect! That site doesn't has only fun or fake movies. They have some real and serious footage.anyway the subject of this topic is that movie, not the site that provided it

Oct 16 2005, 03:34 PM
no. the topic is to debate wether it is real or not, this links into it. dont make assumptions.
i gave it a good look again. its interesting, this could be real, if you notice his eyes dont glow up in the nightvision, as our pupils do not take light in as well as animals, however the ghosts reflects the nightvision much like cats do when you see thyere eyes in the dark. thats very unnatural. i think this may be real after all.

That annoys me, jokaroo.com put their name in the video even though it wasn't theirs. But anyway...
The video seems like it was submitted to a hispanic TV show. The most creapy part about the video is when he is running away and you hear the girl scream. There is no way of telling if this video is real.

sub_xone, you cannot say there is nbo way of telling if its real or fake, yo simply ave to look more closely. so far it looks pretty real, but il checkit frame by frmae in adobe and see if any effects have been added.
EDIT: is it from romania?

there is another thread on this video somwhere i think,
nightvision cameras do make human eyes light up too, its like the red eye effect of light bouncing off the back of our eyes and coming back out.
id say the sound effects added are there as it was probably broadcast on tv, so to make viewers a bit more creeped out. i think if its not just some person messing round in the cemetery this is a pretty good vid!
(31oha2a121)
Oct 16 2005, 07:06 PM
wrong there pal in fact i can prove you wrong rite now if you want, i have a camera, it has the exact same night vision, and it DOESNT makeyour eyes glow up.

Oct 16 2005, 08:22 PM
your pupils have to be nearly fully dilated, to allow a lot of the projected ir light in.

Of course those cameras make your eyes light up...hasn't anyone ever seen that UK show "Most Haunted"...that's almost all they shoot in..night vision...and all their eyes are lit up...

Oct 17 2005, 03:40 PM
so with that in mind its pretty possible this is a staged hoax, or perhaps just some weirdo in the graveyard. i dont know, maybe ghosts also get reflective eyes, but i wouldnt see why

since you people clearly dont know what your on about especialy mr slausen , heres proof. here are MY eyes in nightvision, are they illuminated NO. and to counter the argument that that guy might have a differetn camera to mine, heres where your wrong, why would the camera not illuminate his eyes and illuminate the ghosts. there.
jonb
Oct 18 2005, 08:36 PM
try setting it up at the other end of the room, and looking at the camera, and away. you wont get it close up like that because the infrared light source is not in the right line to reflect light off your retina,
your eyes need to be pretty dilated too, check out info on red eye, it is the same thing that happens with that.
mr slausen is right though, most haunted use the nightshot cameras with the green effect, and nearly always you will get reflected eyes. cheeers
*edit*
as there seems to be some most haunted marathon on tonight i thought id take some pics of the eyes

just to put an end to the argument..
hopefully

Why the constant attitude problem?jonb and mr slausen are right,u never seen the Blair witch project.Take a Chill pill Mr Negative.
I think the footage is fake too,and they just got lucky with the creepy eye effect.

it could be fake, i dont like the way that the people who showed it on the tv show added sounds, they may have added a 'little more' to spice it up. hmm
i dont think the scream as the guys running away is added. it sounds really 'tinny' and most dv cameras can only pick up 16 bit sound and so that may be real. its pretty scary though. wish i knew what the guys saying

(31oha2a121)
Oct 21 2005, 03:43 PM
lol yeah sounds more likely, i mean i believe in ghosts but i really cant make my mind up about this footage. at first i couldnt even see a woman hunched over the quality was too poor. was the guy shouting at her? asking if shes ok or something?

I have seen the video and honestly it scared the hell out of me. I noticed some of you wondering what this guy is saying. Well I thought I might help out a little.
First off he is speaking Spanish not Romanian. In the begining he is pretty much speaking to himself. Ebaums got the translation wrong first of all. Read on:
First thing he says is that he has spotted a little girl in the cemetary. That's when he faces the camera to his own face and calls himself an idiot "it's only a little girl crying in the cemetary at midnight he says", that's when he pulls the camera from his face and then back to his face again , he corrects himself and then says it's 1:30 in the morning. Thats when he points the camera back into the cemetary and then proceeds to ask the little girl what her name is, the second time he ask's her that's when she turns her head. That's when he turns to start running and all you hear is him yelling out some friends names and that's about it.

nice going comanche, definately scary either way you lok at it, but personally, i think its real. dunno why just call it a feeling. did anyone go in the day to find out what he gravestone was? or who the little girl was? perhaps it aint real coz if that happened to me, not only would i have now had some very brown jeans but i also would want to find out who the hell she was.

beast_boy were done with that argument so let it go its only going to slow the topic down, as for the scream you he her scream right at the end as hes running off. wether thats added in or not i dont know.

I saw the movie..it's creepy
First of all i think it's a set up,why would he go there at night and with the camera?
and he started running when he saw the face of that girl....if that was me i was certainly going in to shock get paralised and maybe faint...but thats just me

Oct 26 2005, 06:06 PM
A lot of people go to cemetaries at night with cameras, hoping to catch something.
I wanna see the un edited version... without the sound effects, etc~
The video is kinda creepy, but only those that were there that night know if it was real or not.
(31oha2a121)
Oct 26 2005, 06:19 PM
technically its not been edited. the only areas that are added are sound effects and to my knowledge theres only one place they put that to highten the tension, and that was when the girl looked up.
Tone
Oct 26 2005, 06:26 PM
Yeah I know but I dunno about the rest of you, but when I first saw it the first thing that came to my mind when I heard the sound effect put in was "Fake."
(31oha2a121)
Oct 26 2005, 06:31 PM
yeah me too, but watch it a few more times. of course you can find actors bu that guy looked like hed soiled himslef. and the way he reacted, by calling out his friends names. all waht i would do. ive got some spftware that can perjaps enhance some stuff ill keep it posted.

Oct 26 2005, 06:43 PM
As I said in some other topic...if it was fake, they'd show more of the "ghost" not only the guy's face. In this flick there's only about 5 seconds of "ghost" footage which would be different if the whole stuff was acted. Anyway I still don't think it's real, but it's helluva good!
Tone
Oct 26 2005, 07:17 PM
Yeah exactly.
It's still creepy non-the-less.
I'll have to watch it again when I get home, but I also thought it didn't really look like a little girl, but more like a shriveled up, short, old lady... I'll check again when I get home.

Continuing the debate from previous posts, I found this video of a 'supposed' ghoul while I was randomly searching around. Just wondered what everyone thought??
http://www.wimp.com/cemetary/*note spooky music and well placed sound effects- all adds to the scare!
I'm not sure myself, could just be a random woman doing a bit of late-night 'visiting the grave of dear uncle Larry', but who knows. Freaked the guy out tho!

I think the sound effect show us clearly that it's a fake or at least the "original" flick was modified. If it is, indeed, real they should left the original unchanged.

Not a big deal, video threads are a little difficult to search for, there's usually not a familiar key word involved that will help you find it straight away. There is a thread around here somewhere, I'm not going to spend alot of time looking for it. This can always be merged later on if someone stumbles upon the other thread.
