grin2.gif God, or All That Is, is omnipotent: everywhere, all-knowing. God is omniscient and sees all, and is all things everywhere in the universe. Therefore, since God is everything, All That Is, how can any of us be outside of it? We must also be God, and God must be all of us.
Jesus did not want any of us to dedicate themselves to following him. He would rather that we be LIKE him, not following him. By following him, you are making yourself LESS than he is; you are separating yourself from him and putting him up on a high pedestal where you can worship and idolize him. Jesus most emphatically does not want that! Rather, his main purpose was to make us aware that we are truly EQUAL to him, that we are all Christ Consciousness as he is!
Jesus' statement "I AM the way, the Truth, and the Life" was not an expression of subservience, but of equality. He meant that all of us are ALSO the Way, the Truth and the Life because we are all Christ in our essential natures.
By worshipping Jesus, Christians are taking the power that they ARE (that is, their Christ-Self power) and removing it from themselves. They are denying Who They Truly Are; they are severely limiting themselves!
If you wish to see Christ consciousness, take a look in the mirror! And then begin acting as though you are a vehicle of that consciousness; then you'll be doing what Jesus hoped you would do. The Second Coming of Christ is not the return of an individual! Rather, it is the realization within each person that all of us are Christ---and living our lives accordingly. That is the true Second Coming!

I don't really see the profundity of it all. Our thoughts affect us and the world around us. You don't have to analyze any text in the Bible to realize it. We are all gods int this world, but the difference is when one acknowledges and believes in their godhood.

I have my own private theory about this one. The Hebrew God name revealed to moses in the burning bush was "Ehyeh." God said "Ehyeh asher Ehyeh." this means "I am what I am" or I shall be what I shall be" Or I cause to be what I cause to be". Since alleged Jesus was allegedly speaking Hebrew or Aramaic, He was saying "Ehyeh is the way, etc."this would mean something like "the voice from the burning bush is the Way, the Truth, etc." which means far more sense. Now to get really weird. Lao Tsu speaks of the Tao (way) and the Teh (virtue), so Yeshua might be saying "The voice of the burning bush is the Tao, The Teh, and life itself."

I will share with you a biblical, but non-xian meditation, for those of you who accept God, but not necessarily Yeshu as God. When experiencing weirdness, say to yourself "The flame that burned within the bush now burns within my heart." Actually imagine a warm, hearth-like fire in your navel chakra, warming and stimulating your heart chakra. I imagine it should work for Christians, too, can't see why not.

saying that god is everywhere, everyone and everything.. um.. isnt that just nature? like.. from what i can tell christianity was mostly spread by people wanting power.. to me it just looks like 'god' is christianitys way of describing basic nature stuff. like.. ummmm.. god made a tree.. how about the tree just grew? its nature. god is mad so he made an earth quake.. how about the earth just needed to shift. maybe im SLIGHTY off topic but my point is i think god is just a 'wrestling name' for nature.. lol. something made up to try and explain how everythign works when theres no other way to explain it. *giggling* thats a cool way to put it.. like.. steve williams 'wrestling name' is stone cold steve austin.. get it? i dunno.. in not too good at describing what im thinking! tongue.gif interperet my post however u like.. lol. grin2.gif

skeksis,

comparing gods to wrestling is a wonderful analogy. Lets just look at the similarities between the most popular of the gods around here (abrahams's) and wrestling:

we have a top bad guy and a top good guy
we have backstabbing, conniving, good (?) drama, bad acting.....
we always have a never ending feud between good and bad
we have all the "sins" exploited
there is no low too low when it comes to obtaining followers/fans
look at the size of the egos!!!!!
look at the need to compensate for something else!!!!!

and of course... the most important similarity of all: they are both fake!
rofl.gif thumbsup.gif

now on the original post: no need to get too much of an over-inflated ego thinking that because you can think you are part of some super-being. lets try to be realistic about the position humans play in the universe, ok?
