Does anyone listen to a band called MARS VOLTA? i Don't listen to that type of music much . I listen to mostly rap and hip hop...the they rock...kick ass!

Funny that no one has heard of them, but their music is in a class of their own.

Love them, i was going to see them in concert but missed out.

Oh god I can't stand them. I saw them live in September, all it seemed to be was them trying to out preform each other and the female vocalist danced and tossed the mic around. I dislike them alot.

True, but their guitarist can sure play...

They're okay.

They toured with System of a Down, and a lot of people who saw them for that liked them.

I've known about the Mars Volta since the beginning, as I was a fan of their old band At the drive-in. I LOVE THEIR MUSIC! I'm glad the're getting some recognition, because they deserve it.

Not really. They are pretty popular, for the reason that you mentioned. But there's a lot of music that's similar to their's, you just have to look for it. I guess the style's new to some people.

I saw them in Dublin a few years back, no-one had any idea who they were. They played about a half hour set & it was like one continuous song, they didn't stop between songs. Sorry tell a lie they stopped once. They seemed v.ignorant, kicked a sound guy off the stage!

I've heard them on XM 51. Their album stuff sounds pretty good, but never heard them live.

I've been in love with The Mars Volta ever since De-Loused in the Comatorium came out. Their newest cd, Frances the Mute, is amazing.
