Maybe it is a Siamese twin's skull?  :s4

Is it actually a skull at all?  :sr

I mean, if you turn your head to the right and think 'pelvic bone' or something, it doesn't look like a skull at all.

Whatever it is, it would mix in nicely with the trophy collection on the ship in Predator 2....

I just watched the movie "The Arrival" (again),  and that looks exactly like one of those aliens!!   :sc

                THEY'RE HHEERREE!!
Althalus
I agree with Loonboy, it does look like a badly deformed pelvis.
Homer
I also agree with Loonboy. Cus' Loonboy knows pelvises
crosis
could be the internal structure of somethig, possibly a skull, could be any type.the reason i say this is that on the front part of "the skull"the honeycomb were bone has been broken.

i think  :sq

So many pelvices, so little time...
:sg

Actually, on a second look, the top portion looks like the surface of a bone where it meets a joint (tibia/fibia meets knee) but this one looks like it's been tampered with, if it is a bone end....

I have to agree with crosis, it has the "lost cartilidge, empty space" look of the nasal zone. Plus it does appear to have eye socket spaces... it could very well be a skull. Of course, it is also possible that it is a really deformed pelvis as opposed to a really odd skull.

Hey, Magikman, are there any other views of the skull? I'm curious as to what the "mouth" region looks like... it looks like it might taper in the middle and only open on each side. But that could just be the angle.
Tommy
Test Bear,

THIS SITE  has different angled shots of this 'skull'.  :sa

In my opinion, this is not a skull.

Could it be some sort of fosilized seed pod, or something similar?
Magikman
TB,

  There's quite a bit of information on the website the picture comes from along with more photo's. The developer is attempting to elicit worldwide exposure and interest primarily to generate lucrative bidding on the skull. He gives a brief history detailing the story behind the discovery and unverifyable accounts from 'experts' attesting to its 'credibility'. He has also quite unexpectedly offered a message board for visitors to leave their comments on for everyone to read, which may in the end do him more harm than good, as more people than not leave various, studied opinions as to the 'skull' not really being a skull at all, alien or otherwise. You can find a bit more information here;

Not a skull - probably a large animal bone from a cow which is slightly deformed maybe?
crosis
I've just been watching a natural history program on snakes, and they showed an animation of the skull of a giant python and how it dislocates its jaws to swallow it's pray.
I noticed that the skull splits into several pieces as it does this.
One of the pieces just refered to as the "brain case" looks remarkably like the mystery skull at the top of this thread.
I have tried to find a good pic of one but can only find complete skulls, but to me it looks like this is the back of the brain case that attatches to the spine.

Kira
:s01 Well I don't think it's a skull either. But maybe a back bone and going to the site it still looks like one maybe the two flat pieces are shoulder blades which may mean it has come from deformed animal.

But at first glance I would've agreed with Loonboy It does look like something Predator would have in trophy collection. :sj

Or there again it could be an Xray of the inside Magikmans head :s03 :s02

         Celticwitch_00,
So that's where that 1 vote came from!  (he is the one who posted the picture)

I wonder what it's going to take to get Magik to come back with his usual rhetoric!   ???
Magikman
Was that a rhetorical question?  ???

By the way, that was my vote, actually. Funny guy, aren't I?  :-/  ;D  :s04

Becca_gurl
It could possibly be a siamese twin skull, but to what?  :s01

:shrebecca
This to me looks like a large animal pelvies i spend some time looking at the pic and that is all i can come up with. But knowing me a will be very wrong lol  :s2
snuffypuffer
I think this is a pelvis.
SPAC3MAN
guys' wut skull u talkin' about? Its a skeletal remain of a creature of some sort. skull is the head- the picture shows the body's frame work & structure. ph34r.gif blink.gif wacko.gif
schadeaux
Magikman's pic is the same as the ones posted by Mr. X in Jan 03, and sounds like the one Tommy provided links to in this tread. It does not look like the one on the skeleton in the pic posted by MC. Are there any more of the skeleton pics?
mandyistheshiznit
It doesn't have anything to signify that it IS for sure a skull....but it does look bone...... unsure.gif
matty
Its a pelvis bone grin2.gif
Space Moose
Not a skull by any stretch of the imagination. Take a look at a skull of darn near anything and it quickly becomes obvious that it looks nothing like any part of the skull.

Most likey, it is some sacral part. I think I have mentioned this eslewhere, but that may have been lost when the board moved over to the new server.
Regardless, that is NOT a skull.
LucidElement
the link dosent work for me... can you try and send it from another source?
