well for the past two years we have had major events occurring on this date--the earthquake that occurred recently on the first day of ramadan hints at the continuation of the rituals--heres a summary of the past two years--through the combining of the book of revelation, the pagan and the mayan calendar this coming dec26 will mark the official beggining for the 7 years of tribulation--this ramadan also happens to contain both a solar and lunar eclipse which has happened only once before in recorded history--there seems to be an anticipation in the air considering the coming political strife--will some foreign threat use this window as an opportunity to attack--im sure thats what we'll be told--hold on its going to get rough- ph34r.gif

Iran earthquake death toll tops 30,000
Poor planning, shoddy construction contribute to catastrophe
By Kate Randall
6 January 2004

The emergency response in Bam, Iran wound down Monday as most remaining international rescue teams left the devastated city. An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale struck in the early morning hours of December 26, leveling up to 70 percent of Bam’s structures, the majority built of mud bricks. The building collapses trapped the quake’s victims in grey dust. The ancient desert settlement lies about 600 miles southeast of Tehran.

United Nations authorities estimate the final death toll at 30,000 to 32,000, down from a previous estimate of 35,000, although Iranian Red Crescent teams were unearthing more corpses as late as Monday, January 5, and the death toll may climb still higher. The wounded were equal in numbers to the dead, and tens of thousands remain homeless. While, amazingly, a 97-year-old woman was pulled alive from the rubble last Saturday, nine days after the quake, rescue workers hold out little hope of finding more survivors.

No section of the city was spared,...

Tsunami death toll rises to 145,000

Updated: 2005-01-07 14:15

World leaders wrapped up a one-day summit on Asia's earthquake and tsunamis, hoping to find the best way to help victims — and to prevent such a catastrophe from happening again. Indonesia reported more than 4,000 new deaths on Friday, pushing the overall toll to about 145,000.

Even as more deaths from the initial effects of the natural disaster were announced, health officials warned that secondary deaths from hunger or disease would push the toll higher without a steady supply of aid to the region.

Local resident Hassan Pootpong, 54, walks through the destroyed streets of the Thai resort island of Koh Phi Phi, January 7, 2005. Hundreds of people died on the island after it was hit by a tsunami on December 26. [Reuters]

Donors concluded an emergency summit Thursday as relief workers scrambled to move aid to areas of Sumatra, the Indonesian island hit hardest by the earthquake and giant waves that crashed ashore Dec. 26. Volunteers hurled sacks of rice and instant noodles into trucks as U.S. helicopters loaded with other supplies buzzed overhead en route to isolated communities.

A new potential danger emerged, this time to the American and Australian military teams assisting the tsunami survivors. A radical Islamic group once headed by an al-Qaida-linked terror chief set up a relief camp in Sumatra. The militants, known for attacking Christians on Indonesia's far-flung islands, insisted they would not interfere with foreign troops — so long as they kept to humanitarian operations.

okay, but how does these two events conclusively show, that the 7 year tribulation of revelation will start on december 26 of this year?

also, won't the antichrist himself have a treaty with israel for 7 years, after 3 1/2 of which are served, he will break the treaty. ...so where's the antichrist?

it doesn't seem to fit, there's still alot that needs to be fulfilled, isn't there?

well they are just demonstrations of how the elite like to perform rituals on their pagan new years day

well it would seem obvious if you consider we are currently israels bodygaurd-- didnt bush just make some gaurantees to israel concerning their pullout recently?--
also its the correlation between the mayan and pagan calendars that signifies the start of the seven years--the mayan calendar ends in dec 2012 signaling dec05--the day of 26 comes from the pagan calendar which is their first new years day and historically active ritually speaking--

oh yes, no doubt they believe in the ancient numerology, geometry, mystics, etc.

however, I was just curious as to how you see this fits with prophecy and scripture.

no doubt we live in strange days, and I know about the mayan predictions and that stuff, how "remote viewers" cant get past 2012 etc.

I'm just curious as to how any of this relates to scripture, how do you correlate the ancient pagans and their prophecies, to the prophecies of Jesus Christ?

Also most biblical scholars seem to agree that it will be awakened roman empire that will enact all of this, the 10 kings, EU. I don't see any of this being fulfilled, it just seems to early. also we aren't chipped yet, as it's not clear in the bible - I don't think, that with the beast, comes the mark, at the same time. although who knows, with some suitcase nukes and martial law.. no.gif

also America hasn't been judged yet, we are a decadent country, very evil

the "theory" that I like to ponder upon, is the proposition, that there is no America in the "new world order". that only after the annihilation and judgement of America, will the holy roman empire come out from the darkness, and bring about the Man of Sin. rome hates everything america stands for. freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of conscience.

Interesting thought Sunofone. I have thought the same thing at one point, and only time will tell. According to prophecy (I should really take the time to be complete but I'm short on time currently) A 7 year treaty between the beast? and Israel takes place, and that is the start. 3 1/2 years into the treaty the beast breaks the promise, and rules with an iron fist, with much persecution and destruction against his enemies. There is a lot more involved then that...

I really don't like to go on dates, but the parallels are interesting timing. I've often thought, it could start as you suggested, or 2012 would be the time when the treaty is broken after 3 1/2 years, or 2012 could be the appearance of the Antichrist.

But I don't know how accurate that would be. Sticking to dates is dangerous, you are bound to be wrong.

Hmmm...I wonder if that means that I should get my Christmas cards and packages out early that year? I'd hate to have a gift show up late in the middle of the tribulation...

...that would be embarrasing.

I wonder if the post office is open for business during the tribulation? Maybe half days? no, it is more likely that they would get a full tribulation holiday...

People are so busy during the holidays, I wonder if there was any way that we could reschedule the tribulation for later...Maybe April, it is pretty dry in regards to holidays in April...

I'll see if I can get a meeting together to push the schedule out a few months...

There are two reasons for me posting this reply,

1) I thought it would be interesting and responsible to add an alternative date to see whether any date would return results of a similar nature.

2) SoLLiZ doesn't seem to get anything good for his birthday sad.gif

I don't draw any conclusions from the results there are there purely to show the results for more than one day, and that day was almost picked at random.

The problem with saying the "tribulation" is that you assume that Christianity is THE correct belief system and that the bible is 100% accurate. Those are a ton of assumptions and you are also only going with the beliefs of a percentage (not even a majority) of the worlds population. Why not an Aztec end of the world scenario, or an Eskimo, or Yamamato culture prophesy? It's these jumps that make me believe that its all bunk, that things do happen in cycles, but not because God wants to end the world, but more to the point that humans are fallable and we love to blow ourselves up, or our enemies and ourselves in the process. If the world does come to an end, it will be when the light of our sun fades in five billion years as the natural course of its life cycle. As for bad things happening, if we could somehow transport ourselves back in time to the dark ages, we would of course be convinced that THESE were the end times...its all about perspective....

The problem with saying the "tribulation" is that you assume that Christianity is THE correct belief system.....its all about perspective....

well ill be the first to tell you that christianity is NOT the correct belief system but they do make up a large portion of the collective and by invoking their weakness others could and may be trying to use their fears against them by creating the illusion of a self fulfilling prophecy impacting humanity as a whole as the christians seem to be in control of the worlds super military power--have you ever heard the saying "the best way to predict the future is by creating it"? well thats the principal they are using to control christians into backing an evil war--im just trying raise your awareness to critical dates as there surely seems to be a specified global agenda that is revealed in advance through the symbolism of major global events, news and hollywood productions and timed with celestial alignments or specific ritual dates--a certain blogger i know predicted in early july a major event would occur by studying certain alignments and noting the timing in relation to the alignments of certain events one being the U2 LIVE8 festival that coincided with the G8 summit was able to notice the repeat and emphasis on the numbers 8/8 and suggested something big would probably occur on either Aug 8-8/8 OR Oct 8(as OCT is derived from octagon or 8 sides)also a 8/8(i posted about it in a thread here in july)and sure enough on Oct 8 which also happened to be the first day of the muslim holy month of ramadan a huge 7.6 earthquake struck the heart of islam in pakistan killing an untold tenS of thousandS--even though Nov 1 is listed by the same individual as being an important anchor date with the prior week and the week after also prooving to have important celestial themes(so oct 26-27...NOV 1...nov 6-7) it is "DEC 26" that seems to be a day that will be ritualized in a major way--just food for thought--and no i do not even remotely entertain the notion of an end times but i do think that certain jerks in high positions could induce a faux tribulation of sorts in order to invoke deep rooted fears in the fools who accept religion nd dogma

heres another tidbit of symbolism adding to the conclusion of the manufacturing of a tribulation event--the 22nd named storm of the year has developed and of course we all knew we were at the end of the standard list requiring the transition to the greek letters the first being "alpha" or "beginning"--interesting timing considering the last time the storms exhausting 21 names and setting a record was in 1933--

Record-breaking Tropical Storm Alpha in Caribbean
Sat Oct 22, 2005 5:20 PM ET

MIAMI, Oct 22 (Reuters) - A record-breaking 22nd named tropical storm formed in the Caribbean on Saturday and could bring life-threatening floods and mudslides to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, the U.S National Hurricane Center said.

The storm was called Tropical Storm Alpha, the first time the hurricane center has resorted to using the Greek alphabet since it began naming tropical cyclones in 1953.

The 2005 hurricane season has had so many storms that all the storm names preassigned for this year were used up with Hurricane Wilma, which pounded the Mexican resort of Cancun on Saturday and was expected to head to Florida on Sunday.

Alpha made 2005 the most active hurricane season since records began 150 years ago, and the 2005 season still has five weeks to run. The 1933 season had 21 named storms.

Nuclear War in ... Alabama

Code Name of the Week: Global Lightning

When Alabama gets the bomb... I don't know about you, but when I was growing up, Tom Lehrer's song "Who's Next" always brought a smile to my face.

Next month, Alabama gets the bomb. Well, Alabama gets bombed.

It's North Korea who's next. They get nuked.

It’s all part of a classified military exercise slated to begin November 1, an exercise that, with the inclusion of North Korea and a terrorist attack in the United States, suggests up-to-the-minute relevance. In truth, though, the exercise replays the same tired Cold War global nuclear war game that has been the bread and butter of the U.S. military for decades.

The dastardly country of Purple, or maybe it's a terrorist organization aligned with Purple -- the script doesn't say for sure -- detonates a radiological dispersal device (or "dirty" nuclear bomb) onboard a merchant ship located on the Mobile waterfront. The President is in Mobile, leading a summit of world leaders addressing a tense escalation of global tensions.

The Alabama nuclear "event" kicks off the scenario for Vigilant Shield, a U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) exercise that is one in a series of national military exercises scheduled for the first ten days of November. The nuclear warfare component of these exercises -- called Global Lightning, and sponsored by U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) in Omaha -- runs at the same time and will rehearse a nuclear war with North Korea

Breaking News - Dems Shut Down Senate

The Democrats have shut down the Senate, demanding to know what happened to the promise to investigate how intelligence was used or misused leading up to the Iraq war. Turn on your TV.

They have used a special rule allowing them to call for the Senate to go into secret closed session.

Update - The Dems have said that they will continue to shut down the Senate EVERY SINGLE DAY until the Republicans agree to allow investigation how we got into the war. (Note - Every channel I turn to has Republicans on, explaining how terrible this all is and how it is bad for the country and how the Democrats are under the control of leftists, etc. Not a single Democrat on any cable network.)

Update - DEMS IMMEDIATELY WIN - there will be an investigation! More coming soon.

Senator Reid has issued a statement. (I am adding emphasis at key points) This may be the strongest statement I have read from a national leader.

Statement by Senator Reid

Troops and Security First
This past weekend, we witnessed the indictment of the I. Lewis Libby, the Vice President’s Chief of Staff and a senior Advisor to President Bush. Libby is the first sitting White House staffer to be indicted in 135 years. This indictment raises very serious charges. It asserts this Administration engaged in actions that both harmed our national security and are morally repugnant. The decision to place U.S. soldiers in harm’s way is the most significant responsibility the Constitution invests in the Congress. The Libby indictment provides a window into what this is really about: how the Administration manufactured and manipulated intelligence in order to sell the war in Iraq and attempted to destroy those who dared to challenge its actions. As a result of its improper conduct, a cloud now hangs over this Administration. This cloud is further darkened by the Administration’s mistakes in prisoner abuse scandal, Hurricane Katrina, and the cronyism and corruption in numerous agencies. And, unfortunately, it must be said that a cloud also hangs over this Republican-controlled Congress for its unwillingness to hold this Republican Administration accountable for its misdeeds on all of these issues. Let’s take a look back at how we got here with respect to Iraq Mr. President. The record will show that within hours of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, senior officials in this Administration recognized these attacks could be used as a pretext to invade Iraq. The record will also show that in the months and years after 9/11, the Administration engaged in a pattern of manipulation of the facts and retribution against anyone who got in its way as it made the case for attacking Iraq. There are numerous examples of how the Administration misstated and manipulated the facts as it made the case for war. Administration statements on Saddam’s alleged nuclear weapons capabilities and ties with Al Qaeda represent the best examples of how it consistently and repeatedly manipulated the facts. The American people were warned time and again by the President, the Vice President, and the current Secretary of State about Saddam’s nuclear weapons capabilities. The Vice President said Iraq “has reconstituted its nuclear weapons.” Playing upon the fears of Americans after September 11, these officials and others raised the specter that, left unchecked, Saddam could soon attack America with nuclear weapons. Obviously we know now their nuclear claims were wholly inaccurate. But more troubling is the fact that a lot of intelligence experts were telling the Administration then that its claims about Saddam’s nuclear capabilities were false.

The situation was very similar with respect to Saddam’s links to Al Qaeda. The Vice President told the American people, “We know he’s out trying once again to produce nuclear weapons and we know he has a longstanding relationship with various terrorist groups including the Al Qaeda organization.”

The Administration’s assertions on this score have been totally discredited. But again, the Administration went ahead with these assertions in spite of the fact that the government’s top experts did not agree with these claims.

What has been the response of this Republican-controlled Congress to the Administration’s manipulation of intelligence that led to this protracted war in Iraq? Basically nothing. Did the Republican-controlled Congress carry out its constitutional obligations to conduct oversight? No. Did it support our troops and their families by providing them the answers to many important questions? No. Did it even attempt to force this Administration to answer the most basic questions about its behavior? No.

Unfortunately the unwillingness of the Republican-controlled Congress to exercise its oversight responsibilities is not limited to just Iraq. We see it with respect to the prisoner abuse scandal. We see it with respect to Katrina. And we see it with respect to the cronyism and corruption that permeates this Administration.

Time and time again, this Republican-controlled Congress has consistently chosen to put its political interests ahead of our national security. They have repeatedly chosen to protect the Republican Administration rather than get to the bottom of what happened and why.

There is also another disturbing pattern here, namely about how the Administration responded to those who challenged its assertions. Time and again this Administration has actively sought to attack and undercut those who dared to raise questions about its preferred course.

For example, when General Shinseki indicated several hundred thousand troops would be needed in Iraq, his military career came to an end. When then OMB Director Larry Lindsay suggested the cost of this war would approach $200 billion, his career in the Administration came to an end. When U.N. Chief Weapons Inspector Hans Blix challenged conclusions about Saddam’s WMD capabilities, the Administration pulled out his inspectors. When Nobel Prize winner and IAEA head Mohammed el-Baridei raised questions about the Administration’s claims of Saddam’s nuclear capabilities, the Administration attempted to remove him from his post. When Joe Wilson stated that there was no attempt by Saddam to acquire uranium from Niger, the Administration launched a vicious and coordinated campaign to demean and discredit him, going so far as to expose the fact that his wife worked as a CIA agent.

Given this Administration’s pattern of squashing those who challenge its misstatements, what has been the response of this Republican-controlled Congress? Again, absolutely nothing. And with their inactions, they provide political cover for this Administration at the same time they keep the truth from our troops who continue to make large sacrifices in Iraq.

This behavior is unacceptable.
The toll in Iraq is as staggering as it is solemn. More than 2,000 Americans have lost their lives. Over 90 Americans have paid the ultimate sacrifice this month alone – the fourth deadliest month since the war began. More than 15,000 have been wounded. More than 150,000 remain in harm’s way. Enormous sacrifices have been and continue to be made.

The troops and the American people have a right to expect answers and accountability worthy of that sacrifice. For example, 40 Senate Democrats wrote a substantive and detailed letter to the President asking four basic questions about the Administration’s Iraq policy and received a four sentence answer in response. These Senators and the American people deserve better.

They also deserve a searching and comprehensive investigation about how the Bush Administration brought this country to war. Key questions that need to be answered include:

o How did the Bush Administration assemble its case for war against Iraq?
o Who did Bush Administration officials listen to and who did they ignore?
o How did senior Administration officials manipulate or manufacture intelligence presented to the Congress and the American people?
o What was the role of the White House Iraq Group or WHIG, a group of senior White House officials tasked with marketing the war and taking down its critics?
o How did the Administration coordinate its efforts to attack individuals who dared to challenge the Administration’s assertions?
o Why has the Administration failed to provide Congress with the documents that will shed light on their misconduct and misstatements?

Unfortunately the Senate committee that should be taking the lead in providing these answers is not. Despite the fact that the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee publicly committed to examine many of these questions more than 1 and ˝ years ago, he has chosen not to keep this commitment. Despite the fact that he restated that commitment earlier this year on national television, he has still done nothing.

At this point, we can only conclude he will continue to put politics ahead of our national security. If he does anything at this point, I suspect he will play political games by producing an analysis that fails to answer any of these important questions. Instead, if history is any guide, this analysis will attempt to disperse and deflect blame away from the Administration.

We demand that the Intelligence Committee and other committees in this body with jurisdiction over these matters carry out a full and complete investigation immediately as called for by Democrats in the committee’s annual intelligence authorization report. Our troops and the American people have sacrificed too much. It is time this Republican-controlled Congress put the interests of the American people ahead of their own political interests.

also it's worthy to note the 2,000 number is slightly misleading, as that only takes into account casualties IN the theatre. I.E. if they die while they're being shipped to a hospital, it doesn't count toward the number you hear on the news
