Yogomaia, the chiefdom headquarters of Sengbeh chiefdom, and one of the two towns that form Kabala town in the Koinadugu district is at present under panic as a mysterious animal that has been rampaging the area for the past one month kills four people.Sources from Yogomaia state that the animal kills its prey by breaking their neck and ends up eating their entire entails. Sources also indicate that the animal suddenly appears before its victim and is capable of running faster than humans. "It can run at a speed that is unbelievable," said Manteneh Marrah, whose brother has been the latest victim of the mysterious raid.Reports say also that areas around Dankwali and Kamadu are the most hit by this animal.Speaking to Honourable Mohamed Kakay, a member of parliament from Koinadugu district, he confirmed the incident and pointed out that "it is indeed a very serious development." He confirmed also that villages in the Dankawali and Kamadu axis are in complete panic, resulting in the people abandoning their farms. It is not known whether the animal is alone or they are in a group.

"This animal attacks people either on their farms or on their way to or from their farms," Hon. Kakay stated, while describing the animal as very mysterious.To qualify his assertion, he disclosed that a huge pile of sh** supposedly from this animal which is carnivorous turned to be a sh** of an herbivorous but quite different in form and substance from the normal kind associated with cows, sheeps, and most bush animals.The issues has concerned the paramount chief Alie Balansama Marrah II so much that he has reported the matter to the district council. According to sources, a detachment of police and military personnel have been deployed in the areas concerned in order to track this killer animal.

Well, don't alot of big cats kill there victims by biting there necks? I really believe this is possibly some sort of Panther or Cougar. What country is this? The article dosen't even specify, though from the names of the towns it sounds like Africa. =| Plus, alot of big cats can run faster than humans so its not surprising...and did they get any visuals on this creature? What does it look like? Did anyone even see this thing?

Big cats also jump on the noses of deer and force them to smother. They always eat the soft parts first. The brain and the entrails. But I have never known one to eat humans. Out west in the sand hills of Nebraska were my mom lives they will follow an outrider to eat his horse or dogs but if you are on foot they run the other way. I cross paths with one all the time here in the Pine Barrens in Oean County. I have found kills of both descriptions and a lot of people have seen tracks but no one has actually seen the cat.

There have been MANY cases of man-eating cats all throughout history...

It definitely sounds like a man-eating cat to me..Probably a Leopard; based on the geography, and the fact that they're ambush predators, mostly...Which makes them hard to ID and catch..

Nothing about this story makes it seem like the animal is supernatural in any way. Off the top of my head, I can name a very large list of predators that can run faster than a human, suddenly appear in front of their victims and eat the entrails of their prey.

That said though, most of that list includes large cats.
