Remember these days everyone...
Before the Internet or Text messaging...
Before the shots and joints
Before Sidekicks & Ipods
Before Playstation2 or X-BOX
Before the 5 hours of homework you put off every night...
When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing...
When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie...
When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our WALKMANS!!!
***Way back...

& Nick at Nite! with Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, facts of life & I LOVE LUCY!!!
& every1 wanted to be in love after watching THE WONDER YEARS!
***Not finished yet...
Kool-Aid was the drink of the summer
Giving your friends a ride on your handlebars or pegs
Wearing your new shoes on the first day of school
Class Field Trips
When Christmas time was the most EXCITING time of the year!
When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids got there.
When getting high was swinging on the swingset
When $5 seemed like a million, and another dollar a Miracle.
When you begged to go to McDonalds, for dinner...EVERYDAY.
When Toys r Us overuled the "mall"
***Go back to the time when...
nobody had cable & people watched THE BOX on channel 25 & called & paid to watch music videos!!!!
Decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-moe"
Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!"
"Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest.
Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "monopoly"
It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.
Being old, referred to anyone over 20.
The chance to couple skate at Skate Country was like winning the lottery....
The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties.
Nobody was prettier than Mom
Nobody was cooler than Dad
Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better
It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the fair...
Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.
If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED!!!

I miss many of those things..
Saturday morning cartoons!
The New Ewok Adventures
Wuzzles
Popples
Gem and the Holograms
My Little Ponys
Shirt Tales
He-Man
Transformers ( the original )
The Land of the Lost ( the original ) not a cartoon
Picture Pages with Bill Cosby right before Fat Albert, not a cartoon
Punky Brewster the cartoon
Muppet Babies
Care Bears
Bugs Bunny and Tweety ( thats what the show was called in my day )
Heathcliff
Garfield and Friends
Dennis the Menace
I'm sure there are more I can't think of right now
I wish I could say that I played games every day with other little kids but I can't because I didn't. My only sister is 6 years older than me and the nearest child neighbor was over 3 miles away. I played in my tree house and rode, groomed my horse; I spent a lot of time by myself as a wee one. My mom made me a cape so I could dress up like an Ewok and swing from the trees at my parent's farm in true form. I miss being six...

Okay, CodeNameCloud:
I am soooo dating myself here, but..... Remember The Wallace and Ladmo Show!??! I'm from the Looney Tunes era, you know, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and - Oh, oh, oh, my fav. Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote!
Don't forget about Gargoyles. I looove Gargoyles. My six-year-old now loves to watch Gargoyles. Oh, who could forget Scooby-Doo? On the weekends, me and my 6-yo have slumber parties, pop popcorn and watch Scooby-Doo all night on DVD.
I can remember when cable first came out and everyone was so crazy over MTV, then it got stupid... or I got older? Now we have TiVo and satellite.
Two scary words, peeps... Bell Bottoms! I can remember my brothers wearing them! Oh, forgot, they came back, didn't they? And, so did Care Bears, My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake!
Oh, I wanna be a kid again! *stomps foot, throws self on floor*

I miss the old days [for me, the early 1980's]. Yeah, we had Pong and Atari, and crappy computers, but back then they weren't flashy. As much as I enjoy web-surfing at work [who wants to work at work?], I think that today's kids are suffering because of computers. I don't ever remember seeing so many fat kids...when I was young, everyone was always running around outside, summer or winter. It's sad that kids waste their young lives on Halo and Grand Theft Auto when there are so many great things they could be experiencing.
Oh well.

I enjoyed the stupidity of that show.
Oh yeah, and Josh Server...I thought he'd be the next Jim Carrey. But don't tell anyone I said that.
Keenan is now on SNL. Where's Kel though? He was funny as hell, too.
Remember when having a cell phone meant you were either a businessman or a drug dealer? Those were the days...

Get ready to think, Old.
I'm a "tweener," meaning not a "baby boomer" and not GenX; I was born 18 December 1964.
I remember watching Apollo 11 land on the moon on our black-and-white TV--no remote and rabbit-ears for an antenna.
I saw the premieres of All in the Family and Happy Days.
Technology was an "Etch-n-Sketch."
Fun consisted of having a ball and/or chalk.
My neighborhood: just envision The Wonder Years. Michael Dinner, a writer/producer/director of the show, lived 6 houses down the street. He is 3 years older than I am. Much of the show is based upon the world as it was reflected through lens of Upper Dublin, PA.
