I hate stuff like this; people who give an answer that is so "matter of fact", yet, they don't show the facts!

The question is only semantics, because we know so little. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, so, it's always been around. A religious person could easily say--well, since energy is constant, God must be a form of energy. It fits the definition of God as we know it.

But to me, the question is largely meaningless.

Phyltre - I have always believed in God..I have no proof of him...but I believe in him because my heart tells me to....all I have is a belief thats why its called faith

Technically speaking GOD'S Mother. As in The first it was just a thought. Space is very Vast and nothing more than a thought began what you know as the universe. So basically a concious created everything. Until one day that concious wanted a body so chosing a parent you get Jesus, Vishnu and anyother you want to name.

Technically that wouldn’t make him the alpha and the beginning laugh.gif

Anyway, I find it interesting that one can worship a divine without knowing anything about his/her past. Sure the bible tells of gods experiences with us humans and our creation, but what about his/her own.

Hmmm...perhaps it was intentional or something we possibly cannot fathom.

I think this is the case.

The whole point was to turn humans towards worshipping morality and ethics and compassion for their fellow man.
Stories of gods and their likes and dislikes just always led to rituals in an attempt to suck up to them and manipulate them to get special attention with no real regard for ethics, morality, and the logical needed to sustain and grow a healthy civilization.

Bella why would you Worship morality, ethics, and compassion for your fellow man???Religon hasn't grown a "functional society, and morals are only as good as the systems mandating them and in the case of religon it very obvious they have done very little in the way of prevention and much in the way of promotion, these are simply storys of man wanting control, uisng fear to get it. It is not nessecary to manipulate a person who has not been relanguaged by religon to automatically chose what is beneficial for the most, its natural, to seek more 'good' its inherent in everything, Religion first tells you and convinces you that everything you think and are is wrong, that what you find as truth inside is not so, then they pour in their 'truth' using fear, thus making you dependent on the religion, ( after all'god' is big buisness and its looking for longevity) Its pretty cut and dry...
