"Thailand — The monster fish announced itself with four huge whacks of its tail, thrashing against the net that had trapped it in the pale brown water of the Mekong River.

It was a rare giant catfish the size of a grizzly bear, and it took five boatmen an hour to pull it in and 10 men to lift it when they reached this remote village in northern Thailand. Only after their catch had been chopped into pieces and sold did they learn how special it was. Nine feet long and weighing 646 pounds, it may be the biggest freshwater fish ever recorded."

its very sad they are almost extinct:o(
evil_kenshin
pity they are doomed for extinction, as honestly if a fisherman had that on the line, for braggin rights most likely would keep it rather than return it to the water, hopefully something happens to change their fate
Live4God
Do you really think someone would keep something like that? A picture is all you need, besides who could afford to mount it, and what wall could hold it? Just wonderin?

If you;re a starving Thai family living in a cardboard and paper hut on the mekong delta, my guess is you keep that thing to feed your family or sell it to feed your family, or a combination of the two.
