"A wild possum has baffled experts after turning up in an inner city garden in Southampton.

Oz, the bush-tailed possum was found in Marie Young's back garden. His is not thought to be a pet as he is feral.

Ms Young, 25, captured the harmless marsupial, which feeds on fruit, with a fishing net and put him into her shed to keep him safe overnight.

The nocturnal creatures are native to Australia and Brazil"

You would be amazed at what animal’s people keep. Then decide to let them go, or they simply escape.

i know i was flicking through the tv channels earlier today and there was a gothic couple who had a meekcat as a pet

so i guess this possum could be an escaped pet...

mr_halo only has 2 rabbits and i he knows they haven't escaped...

We had a wallabie loose here in wales once Cardiff I think it took them weeks to catch it

i remember something in the newspaper about that, i think i scanned it and posted it as topic on here, its awhile ago though, so it'll be a pain to find
