Well, I won't be carving any of them up this year, but I do plan to use the pumpkin cannon!!!
My brother has a cannon an uncle of ours designed that uses a CO2 cartridges. Sends those suckers a flyin'!!!!

We even shoot melons out of it. Great way to get rid of rotten veggies & plant rogue plants for next spring!!!
Also the birds seem to like it cause the seeds get scattered everywhere. Plenty for them to eat.
Worry not, we do it out in the fields where no one is at. TEE HEE!!!

Pssst...seen the potato gun anywheres???
All you need is 2 ( 2in. and 6in. with screw cap) sections of white PVC, an ignitor switch for a gas grill, 2 machine screws, wires, and a can of WD40 for the fuel. I send potatos and watermelon chunks out in my soybean field and my beagle chases after them. I once tried using starting fluid for fuel and blew the barrel off.
