The background on my desktop has frozen with an advertisement for spy ware.
I have debugged my computer thoroughly no problems there. But, I cannot change the bacground still. The display properties list of backgrounds has frozen. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

If it's stuck with an advertisement for spyware, I suggest you scan your pc with some anti-virus programs.

Microsoft Anti-spyware works good (can only be downloaded using an original windows) - < Download >

Ad-Aware will do the trick also some times.. < Download >

Formatting is the last thing you should do....

Ad-aware and Spybot S&D.No need for microsoft :)They should do the trick
