good.

now for some of the possible answers

1. head, sectors, tracks, spindle, arm, motor, circuit board, case, and others.

2. the cpu is the central processing unit, it is made of pins which transfer signals to the core, and the core uses ALU to modify the input and make it compatible with the bios/OS/system bridges/HD/ect..... it is connected to the north bridge directly, and can be modified through jumpers to increase FSBS

3. the north bridge is the connection that links the CPU to the harddrive/southbridge/RAM/CD-Drive/bios chip

4.PCI is the bus that tranfers info from a periferal chip, to the south bridge, or the transfer to the circuit board through jumpers. so its like a bus 0_0

5. the laser bounces off the mirror on the disk, and as it returns to the drive, its breaks through the surafe of the disk lens, and grooves on that lens alter the lasers path, which is translated in to 1 and 0's

6. oh, theres just so much about RAM
PM me if you want to know!

7. parity is an older form of error checking, where, for every 8 bits of data , theres one parity bit, this bit, counts the number of 1's in the data and sets itself to 1 if the # of them is odd, and 0 if the # is even. when the data is read back for use, the parity checks the #'s again and if it doesnt match the parity bit, the data is bad. found on RAM

8. i dunno, i was hoping someone did, its mostly just capacitors, and circuit boards.

9. alienware CUSTOM $13,000

10.AMD, not so franchised, and better for gaming, also cheaper.

I wasnt gonna resppond to this thread because im not at this site to talk shop as it were but question 8 botheres me because its a loaded question, there is no answer for it until you clarify exactly what info your talking about. Also it depends on what you consider a "stop" i assume you mean how many things does it pass thru before its done with?....if its programme we are talking about then parts of it will do more then others, some wont do anything apart from go to buffer memory, or your hard drive, or a temp folder,

you cant answer the question as it stands.....so im just gonna decide..... 42!

the only other question ill kinda answer is the fav comp...and that would be this bad boy infront of me,

custom built set up, costing...a terrifying amount. because its my work computer i cant go into any details of what it has inside of it but i will share the fact its the best out of the 8 custom builds i currently have on the work bench, it has its own server and its masked behind 4 ghost systems, it is interlinked to 16 networks, operates at twice the speed of light and it has a really nice looking blinky light on the front devil.gif well.....not really, i cant say a thing about what i work on in all honesty other then to say its very very good.

Not to sound like an ass, but I highly doubt an 11 year old would know all the answers? It takes students months to learn these things.
