No, these pictures have been around for years. There's actually another forum started way before the Tsunami with these exact pictures. they're deep sea fish caught and photographed by deep sea fishermen.
darkknight
with giant squids,Megalodon Shark and unknown terrors....explore the depth laugh.gif

You're not reading between the line if you're reading the exact line and believing it. laugh.gif

The fourth picture (the pinkish purple blob fish) is pictured on another thread. Personally I think these fish are found in the deep dark depths because they are self-conscious of their looks. I would be if I looked like that. Man! blink.gif
BurnSide
What makes you say they are self concious about their looks?
That's an odd remark to make. They're fish, they don't care what they look like.

I know right? What Burnside said is true, these fish have been around way before the Tsunami. More than likely, someone saw these fish for the first time and stretched the truth. Meanwhile, little chinese/vietnames men like me, are running around catching these fish on a regular basis. And then since it is rare to outsiders, then assume they are exstinct.

Look, here's another one, http://www.dinofish.com/ that was said to be exstinct millions of years ago, and that there are only fossils. Then, here are these little chinese men again catching them. Hell, those are ugly looking fish, but they look like they would put up a good fight, and from that deep down in the ocean, yee haw!..... that's about 30 minutes of fun. And then I would release it and try to catch it again! yes.gif

DUDE! You found a mermaid! devil.gif

Seriously, that thing had to have evolved from humans. Not only does it look human, it's staring at you like a human would. ohmy.gif

Or I'm lacking sleep and seeing things.
BurnSide
That.. looks human?

Really, you need to get some new company. original.gif
Beryth

You see it!

Now I'm wondering if this thing started that mermaid myth. You never know how sad and desperate sailors get at sea. Especially after drinking.

I hope that fish has no teeth. tongue.gif
darkknight
what kinda bait they used thumbsup.gif
BurnSide
I think it was a manitee or something that started the Mermaid myth, for the same reason. These things live in extremely deep water, there's no possible way a sailor 500 years ago would have seen one.

Wasn't sure if it was the manatee or the dugong that inspired the mermaid myth. I know one of them is called "the ugly mermaid."

I wonder if that fish is the same thing as in this thread http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...showtopic=53826
BurnSide
Dugong, that's the one.
Yeah, it's the same fish.
darkknight
