Hey, has anyone here heard any of NightWish's stuff? I just bought the album "Once" last month and it's got some excellent songs on it.

Well, let's see...I like Megadeath, Metallica (older stuff), Dio, Priest, Deep Purple, Led Zepplin, Soundgarden. I know there are more but I can't think of them at the moment. I used to drive my neighbors nuts b/c I used to play Megadeath or Metallica to clean the house to! LOL

I'll just move this to the music forum....

Nightwish are pretty good...they've got a weird thing going - a sort of operatic meets rock thing. They actually remind me a bit of Within Temptation.

Heh, a friend of mine is just obsessed with that band. I've heard their stuff, it isn't the greatest to me, I wouldn't buy any of their albums, but I most definately would listen to them if the chance arose.

I'm not really into Nightwish, but I do LOVE Saliva. I kinda figured you would too, considerng your name.

I have a diverse taste in music.... myself. I couldn't choose a favorite. I was interested in alot of underground metal. If anything it was where Mudvayne was coming from @ going. American Head Charge was cool when I heard their sh**, and I knew they went on tour with Mudvayne.

Ultimately I can not put Mudvayne away... It makes my head rattle up and down.
Along with the rest of my body.

I'm the same I'll listen to anything (well bar dance music & cheesy nasty pop music). I love Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Free but also Metallica The Wildhearts Therapy? AC/DC Skid Row Slash's Snakepit Guns n' Roses, the list is endless!!

I've been really into Trivium and Bullet for my Valentine recently, also there's another band that I've only just heard of called Caliban.

Anyone heard that Roadrunner United album? Kicks ass

I heard The Dagger from the RRU album, and that song rules, but my friend has the cd on his comp and he said it wasn't really that good except for maybe a couple songs. I still wouldn't mind checking it out, though.

Yeah not all the songs are that good, but the ones that are good are really good (IMO anyway). You should check out The End, Dawn of a Golden Age and The Rich Man.
