During a lightning storm right before Hurricane Wilma there was a photo shot of the lightning storm and a mysterious object Flying into the lightning storm over Downtown Fort Myers Florida. The picture taken by Darren Daniel an amatuer photographer, and a resident of Lehigh Arces, Florida said "I didn't notice anything flying above the city intil the photo was developed. I wasn't shocked of the object being in the picture. It could be anything, but I highly doubt it is of another planet."

That is to sum up the article that was written in The Caloosa Belle Paper in Labelle, Florida. The photographed was sent to me by Dale Enwrite the media director at The Caloosa Belle. This was very exciting news for me because we have never had UFO sighting here in fort myers florida. I not sure what the object is myself, but I feel it is probably some type of air craft. I don't know if it is military or not because the nearest military base is the buckingham air field which isn't used by military anymore. What do you guys and gals think?

it looks like usaf craft...but it could ufo as well.

Yea, It could be USAF because the National Guards were down here before and after hurricane Wilma. I remember because our traffic lights were all down and I remember seeing th eolder style HUM V's driving around town.

Thats what it probably was, BTW xtortionist, is everying is all right? Do you know any news about the dmage in naples?
xstortionist
yea, everything is alright here in fort myers, but naples and clewiston got creamed..along with the east coast like ft. lauderdale and miami. I took a ride down to naples and it seems to be doing alot better after the hurricane. I was without power at my house for about a week but it just got turned back on friday. I'm just glad all my friends and family are alright, and that the hurricane season is almost over. We took it pretty good considering we got hit last year also. So i feel we floridians were much better prepared this year.

damnit, we are visiting some very close friends in naples...he got hit by a truck while biking so hes limping around, but he was here in michigan when Wilma hit original.gif

More flooding then anything in naples...They should be back up and running by thanksgiving.

Now that's an interesting picture. I suspect that it's one of our own black ops aircraft. I think that the USAF has several types of stealth aircraft that officially *don't exist*. When people do see these aircraft, they are UFOs in the "unidentified flying object" use of "UFO". It's kind of funny actually, by keeping these aircraft secret the military actually encourages public speculation on UFOs!

i'm getting more information to see if there were any air crafts flying during the time. The only thing that makes me have an itch that it isn't the Government is that it was flying into the lightning storm...which seems to be dangerous...plus I dont know why they would send in a Stealth plane when there is nothing to spy on here in fort myers.

I lived for 7 years in the Fort Myers area, 3 years in the down town vicinity. This pic looks to me like it was taken from the North Fort Myers side of the Caloosahatchee River. I saw many strange looking things flying through the air during the many thunder storms that passed through while I was a resident. I worked in the tall well lighted building near the center of the photograph. It is what used to be call the Marriott Calusa Harbour Retirement Home. It is a 20 story high rise right on the banks of the river. Storms viewed from the upper levels of this building have been known to contain any number of strange objects carried aloft by the unobstructed winds. I would need to see a more detailed photo before I would believe that this picture is of something more than debris carried aloft during the storm.

It was taken from the north fort myers area....looks to me if it was taken from bayshore side though. I feel it is a flying object...it couldn't be debris because it's too big of an object to be debris.

It also looks to my untrained eye to be much closer to the camera than the down town sky line. Refresh my memory is Bay Shore east or west of Highway 41? The pic looks like it was taken west of Bus.41 but east of Highway 41. Perhaps it was taken from the North Fort Myers side of the Highway 41 bridge over the river.

k, I just found out it was taken on bayshore area of north fort myers on the caloosahatche river. The guy who took the photo lives on the caloosahatche.

Guys, this is my first post here, but I am trying to seek some answers in regards to these sightings. Here is my story, to see if you guys can offer any feedback.
The 2 nights after Wilma struck Miami, all power was out in my neighborhood (except for those lucky few with generators). At my home, the kids were asleep, and the only ones awake were a couple that stayed through the hurricane with us, my wife and yours truly. Anyways, my wife decided to go out for a smoke. After some time, she calls us outside to see something, but when we arrive, it was too late (so obviously we make fun of her... like any suportive husband would do). According to her, it was a couple fo lights doing loops and stuff.
Anyways, we decided to hang outside for a while, and just about as we are thinking of going back in, we see the sighting. It basically looks like a group of tiny dots (almost like the stars at night but a bit orangy in color) flying in a triangle V formation. Also, we noticed a fading around the area of the triangle formation. I think the simplest explanation is that it looked like a manta ray flying in the sky with little stars in it. After reading this thread, I thouight it was possible that this was the some object captured on the picture... but at night.
Anyways, I decide to get my vid camera and wait outside, and for a third time, I see yet another pass of the object (or objects). I tried recording it, but sicne it was so dark, i was barely able to catch the sighting.
Anyways, today i decided to play de video one frame at a time, and i believe i caught the object on tape. Any sugestions on what i should do next? I will probably hook my camcorder to my PC this weekend and go frame by frame in more detial to see if i can extract the frames with the item.

thanks in advance

Hey Xstortionist. I know you heard of Lehigh. That's where I'm at. I have seen numerous unidentified objects, in our area. Mostly during the very early a.m. hours. On one occasion, just before a terrible thunderstorm, me and my lady friend, spotted a dark black sphere, just sitting under a dark cloud. I thought it was a weather balloon or something, until it shot off.. to come back from the same direction 30 secs later. When I say shot off, I mean took the heck off, which ruled out being a weather balloon. I have also seen neon blue, and orange sphere's, hovering , and then moving in the opposite direction. Have you seen the likeness of my sightings?

Hey... I saw exactly what you guys saw when all the lights were off in Miami after Wilma. I also described it as a Manta Ray. I would like to see what you caught in tape because I couldn't act as fast as you since I was petrified. I would like to know if that was the same thing, because even the day is a coincidence. Fortunately, I was with someone else at that moment and he saw it too. Actually, we saw it twice. Please, reply to me. Thank you

To tell the truth, it looks like a speck of dirt. But, then again, I can't really say for sure. It's possible that it could be an alien craft. It's possible it could be manmade. Who knows? I think it would be interesting if it was an alien spacecraft, though.
