What are You Doing in Terms of Spiritual Maturity?
What are you doing in terms of spiritual maturity? Are you developing your soul? Are you growing spiritually, day to day, month to month, year by year, or are you neglecting this area of your life? In what way are you expressing spiritual growth? These are questions you may wish to consider.
This Awareness indicates that according to your capacity, your ability, you may wish to find some way to express a spiritual maturity in a more meaningful manner in order to develop your own spiritual growth. This Awareness indicates that spiritual growth is not something to neglect. It is possible to become spiritually retarded, just as it is possible to become socially retarded, but this Awareness suggests this is not beneficial to an entity to neglect the social or spiritual development, and therefore, this Awareness suggests you consider carefully as you develop these areas of your being, for they can bring you many, many more rewards than the retarded states of development that some entities seem to divert towards.

How are you defining spirituality??? Are you referring to religion because spirituality is not religion or the "other " way ? We also are always growing and evovleing we have no say in whether we grow or change only in the manner we do this, the essence of life is growth. I'm confused as to wht you are referring to. this sounds religoious. namaste Sheri

Well, if you are keeping this one, this is what I posted in your other thread: Like the name. And yes, I feel like I am progressing day to day by sharing spiritual and universal knowledge with the people I meet. At times, it is an even exchange. Conversations and experiences I think, have made me become spiritually "old as dirt".

Right. Spiritually handicapped would have been more appropriate.

There has got to be an in between. not everybody is as enlightened like you, but neither are most others retarded,

I was talking to you Yelekiah, from what you have said here and in other threads, I would consider you 'spiritualy enlightened' in a way.

Ah, so an in between? Of course. People are always progressing. I think I am progressing as well.

Enlightened.....................................................Retarded.
There is definately a middle ground.

Of course. It's not just like enlightened vs. retarded. There is always a gray area.

I agree, 'retarded' was definitely a miscalculation!
In my spiritual walk with Christ I grow everyday. Sometimes we are at standstills or plateaus but we just need to look around and then move on to the peak of the mountain.

Didn't you know. The religious are stuck in a stagnant pool of wasted spirituality and never grow.......
Sorry, cynicism aside, those who choose to nurture the spiritual aspect of their nature cannot help but to grow, one way or another. Sometimes it feels like I am on a plateau (like 101 said), but always it is a journey, keep going forward, and you start climbing that mountain again, growing and maturing.
At least this is what I think

Then all too soon, you approach the end of the journey and you think to yourself, "Did I do the right things? Should I try to make amends or change my beliefs?" If you are lucky, the answers are "Yes" and "No" respectively, if you are not, then it is time for a lot of "soul searching" and action, before it is too late. I am approaching the terminus now, and my answers are "Absolutely Yes" and "No need for anything more than apologies to those I wronged in any way." Sorry if that sounds self-serving, it is my feelings on the matter

I wonder if a spiritually evolved individual could consider others retarded for not having the same beliefs...

Am I the only one who took "retarded" as slowed down or not advancing instead of mentally handicapped? As in "the rate of progress was retarded when the car was going up the hill."
To answer the question... I think most people I come in contact with are spiritually retarded (using the definition above). It is important to keep questioning deep in the recesses of your heart and mind.

Perhaps i shouldn't have used the word "retarded" as it is a strong word. But if you look up the definition of the word Retard it means lacking in information and understanding. Which to me is a perfect description of 99.9% of humans who live in total spiritual ignorance there whole lives. Perhaps i should have phrased it as spiritually bankrupt.
Yelekiah
Nov 4 2005, 04:44 PM
Spiritually bankrupt lol. But 99.9% is a little steep. I think 68% would have been more appropriate. But we all must have different definitions of what enlightenment is.

I think your find it's more like 99.9%. The 0.1% are in every generation. People like Edgar Cayce, David Icke. People unknowingly live in a prison reality which is all about control and limitation and fear. In every generation we have people that try to tell us this but there message is largely ignored by the 99.9% of humanity.

99.9%. The 0.1%
There are 6.4 billion people on this earth, I just don't find it comparable to say that 99.9% are retarded.
